how do you distill such sweeping feelings of longing, hope, and desire into improvised passages of notes like this? This is wonderful... and I detect a little less reverb in this than your previous two... so, does that mean that this one was recorded recently at your brother's studio, or is this part of the big original set he recorded for you? Thank you for sharing these gems, even if we do have to wait weeks between fixes :-) Your hubby is a lucky guy, hearing music like this all the time at home.

I am a big fan of yours and I really appreciate your kind words. I have one song submitted but it hasn't been cleared to an active status yet. It's nothing on the order of what you do, just something I threw together back in the 90's. When and if you get a chance to hear it, I hope you like it, but more importantly I need "REAL" feedback as to how to make it better.

gail this is so wonderful.... i have no words. you are unbelievable. the music is STUFFED with emotions and feelings. it sounded me like a soundtrack to one of those big love stories when one looses the other one or both each other from any reason and you just stare at the screen in cinema, not believing your eyes of their misfortune and down your cheek are rolling huge hot salty tears. you are an amazing piano player, a hut off!

You paint with your words, then carry through with your playing. I love the dropping thirds in the bass, and the tension you bring by postponing the cadences. You also have a really lovely, subtle touch on your instrument. Brava!

Texas is a great home and Yes...As far as I know, I was "alive" when I recorded this. :) Sorry...couldnt resist being a smarty pants! It was recorded in my brothers small studio. Piano playing is my escape from real life sometimes. I really do appreciate your kind comments and for listening.

Many wonderful comments by others already. My 2 cents echo the thoughts of others: sensitive playing; quiet emotions; a palpable sincerity. Very enjoyable to hear such tender playing. %u2026 I think others may have remarked on the reverb question. I, too, think there is an awful lot of it, but I don%u2019t know what your recording circumstances are, either. That has a lot to do with it. Just something to keep in mind. You mentioned in response to someone that you just %u201Cwent for it%u201D and nothing is written out. In a spirit of wishing to offer something constructive, maybe a sketch would keep you from wandering too much or repeating too much. There is no question that you have a great sense of %u201Cconversation%u201D in your playing. Just keep developing the syntax and the vocabulary. You have a lot to say and you are already doing it so well.
