Description:
Just realised I have submitted two tracks which have star trek samples on the same day. Ooops sorry. It was not planned. This track is a bit of a harder flavour then normal but only a bit. I wanted to do some progressive, minimal trance that was not cheesey like most trance is and this is what was created. Enjoy and have a good dance.

Excellent track- you damn near scared the crap out of me with that first synth-swirl break :) Very cool sounds! This is definitely dance club material.

Thank you for your enthusiastic comment. All the other trance/techno tracks I have done before have been at a slower pace, so I thought 'why not kick some arse', and this is the result. Glad you liked it and thank you for listening.

This is really great! A wonderful dance and let go tune. I also felt the "scared the crap outta me" part too. That was not what I meant by dance and let go though... :) Truly Nice job! Thanks for sharing.
Diviner
Another happy listener. Hope you had a good dance. I had fun making this track and I think that comes across. Also I'm happy that I managed to scare both you and mikey d, it was not the intention, but I'm happy with the result. Thank you for listening and commenting.

I was nodding my head to your music so much it fell off!

Hope you get your head fixed back on. Thank you for listening, commenting and I'm really happy that you liked the tune. Hopefully there will be some more head rocking tracks to come. Watch this space.

This is really crazy cool. Great energy level the beat is what I needed at this hour of the day. I'm happy to hear the amount of time you allowed the song to build up before any major changes happened. This could actually be the radio version of the song (at 5 min 45 seconds!), allowing a much longer hypnotic version to play at the clubs. Great synths at the last 20 seconds of the song make a good ending.
I think your Jean-Luc Picard snippet is perfect. You are sooo Next Generation Trance!
I think this is my new favorite Diviner song.
I have a few on the iPod now!
Thanks Kevin!

You should be a music journalist, that was a great review. Thank you for listening and commenting. Glad you appreciated the whole track and noticed it was a more up to date trance track esp. since all my other tracks are more old skool trance. Watch this space I will make the next one longer and more hypnotic and trippy as well as good use of samples (might step away from the star trek samples though)

I can't wait to hear what you come up with.
Phasers set to stun.

Good club music. Nice beat, creates a nice atmosphere. I am kinda new to this kind of music but I like it

Thanks for listening and commenting. You are certainly open minded enough to listen to new things and thats really good of you. I'm glad you enjoyed. Cheers.

I like this kind of stuff and I wasn't even hip to the term "trance" until I joined MJ's, lol! Nice work all around from your choice of sounds/effects down to the final mix. Very tasteful. And this coming from an old head banger. Who would have thunk it?
Diviner
I like surprises and you have surprised me. Thank you for listening and I'm really glad you liked my tune enough to comment. I'm currently doing remixes at mo but I'm sure I will return to some trance.
michael2
one. i really like how you let the song go on for awhile before developing it in a different direction. great sound choices too.
Diviner
for listening and commenting. I wanted the track to move around, chop and change but still build up and flow, so I hope this has done it. I intend to explore this genre in future, so keep a look out. Cheers once again.

One serious thing I have against this track is the fact that you don't have access to a good audio workstation with a high quality drum kit and some effect generators and a little more control over how your stuff sounds. I like how it goes, except for the bow bow bow synth that cuts in after the echoing chords. I was really looking forward to the progression of those chords. The proton torpedo bit was kinda fun. And I can really see the part near the end being a club cruncher. Like I said, if you had a better audio engine, this song would be killer. Great stuff!
Diviner
Thank you for your honest comment and you are right about needing a better audio engine, however not all trance is powerful, almost anthemic synths. Trance as a genre has split into many sub-genres, and some of those sub-genres do not have ANY anthemic synths at all. The trance you produce is disco/club trance with hands in the air synths. I was trying for the underground/in a field, in the middle of nowhere/ festival trance. That is totally different to what you produce. They are both trance but with different mindsets. I really like the trance you make however that is not what all trance is or what its all about. Cheers for listening to my attempt and comment though.
Diviner
I do agree with you that I need a better audio engine, and I will get one in the future but before that, I have to make do with what I've got. I do stand by my rant about the many types of trance. I like Psy-trance which is varied in sub-genres in itself and has many great artist and their trance sounds nothing like yours. Listen to the artists on www.twisted.co.uk to see what I mean.
MKVX
yea. your right. This is a type of trance, very different from my style, but definitely trance. this is more psy trance. my bad. didn't mean to cramp your style.
Doug Somers
I had bopping around the studio. I really like your choice of synth sounds and how they transition to hold the interest. Effective use of breaks followed by that hammering beat. There's no escaping justing having to move to this number. Hope you will produce more in this style - or as Picard would say, 'Make it so!'
Thanks,
Doug

I wanted to surprise people with this track, I so have a mix of breakbeat and thumpin beats. I really like this track myself and I'm really glad that macjammers have responded well.
Thank you for the lovely comment, and I also look forward to hearing more stuff from you as well.

Diviner
Cheers Jo, I would love to come and visit you in Australia esp if there is an outdoor party going on. Bring some tunes? I'll bring stacks, so you can dance the whole night through (and well into the next day). What a good party it will be.

When I listen to this and a good many other Macjammers, I wonder how I wasted most of my life listening to the #@%! Radio.

I stopped listening to the radio about 12 years ago as there was nothing on there that I like and always hearing the dj talk rubbish just annoyed me. Nowadays the radio on the internet is more interesting as you can find genres that you like, however there is better talent sometimes on this site.

Great psy if I'm right :) Continue with great work, I love it! cheers
Diviner
Thanks very much for listening and commenting. I did go for a minimal psy trance feel. :-)
