Description:
Please tell what I need to work on and what not, because I REALLY want to become really good at making hip hop instrumentals.

1 thing I noticed, was that you didn't mute any of your tracks through out the verse part. Your drums/snare/bass were there all the way through. It makes your track sound more alive than it is if you simply remove the snare, kick, and bass sometimes. Makes it more dynamic. Plus, muting tracks can help accentuate the vocals on your tracks. You can listen to almost any song and when they say something tight or something they feel is noteworthy.. you'll hear instruments drop out of the song. Then after they say whatever it is, they come back. Other than that all I can say is it will take time.. I probably made 15-1500 beats like this before I started actually putting sounds together that meshed well. Your ear will develop and your skill along with it. Keep it up. [ Reply to This ]
