Underlying request: Change your mic
Heheh! This is a great sound and the song is
beautiful, did you write it or is it a standard? You
have an inspiring voice... but my oh my, you need a
better mic, lots of hiss and not very sharp.

Good idea!
Yeh sorry about the mic and all the fuzzyness, we used some dodgy mono computer mic.
The actual artist is Henry Alone, a friend of mine and an Aboriginal brother from Western Australia. I'm just posting his songs on the internet for him. And yes, he did write these songs, or should I say, God wrote these songs! I tell ya, you ought to see him live, his face just shines!
He's written over 150 songs, a lot of which haven't been recorded, about 30 or something have been done I think.
There's a few more of Henry's songs on this site, 'come all ye people' and 'Jesus loves me so'. There's a lot more on icompositions.com, under 'religious' or 'blues', if ya wanna to catch any of them.
I'll also put a bit about Henry below.

About Henry Alone
About Henry Alone:
Henry is a Christian, and lives in Perth, Western Australia. Henry is an
Aboriginal brother (native to Australia), and seeks no commercial gain from
his music. Henry plays his music only for the Glory of God. Henry has tried
to write non-Christian songs, but they just 'didn't fit'. Henry is inspired by
The Holy Spirit, and has come to The Lord through amazing circumstances.
Henry used to be an alcoholic, but only when he became a Christian did all
his past troubles fall away. Henry jumped in front of a car to save his
cousin's life, that left him with blood coming out of his ears and in a coma for
a week. In this time, Henry came to know Jesus, and he's never been
happier in His life.

fer cryin' out loud
can't someone write a christian song that isn't a folk song?? sheez. maybe He is a big folk fan, i don't know...

anyway, if i voted, i'd give this song a 5 for content, a 3 for production (it's more hiss than music) a 4 for creativity (ain't there about a million of these songs, mostly sung around a church retreat camp fire?) and a 9 for overall because... well I dunno... maybe it's the Lord working in mysterious ways. here's the good news: i don't vote!
