Description:
Hello kiddies ! Its your 'ol friend French Toast ! This is a song that my Brother , well hes not really my brother but hes as close to a brother as im ever goin to have , played for me for the first time after we hadnt seen each other for 4 years . Hes one of those people that you just pick up where you left off and continue the conversation . We were gettin piss drunk on 18 year old scotch and fat Tire beer if im not mistaken and he picked up his guitar and this came out . Now fast forward 4 more years and I had an isolation booth and a make shift studio build (ahh the good ol days) and this is what came out . This is my first tme mixing real instruments in a group so let me know if I can make anything sound better . Hope you enjoy as this song always brings a smile to my face .

Brotherhood &mdash 09/09/07 - 10:07:00 AM
...not a matter of blood but of spirit. Sometimes I think only art can come close to explaining such things - if they can ever be explained at all. Musicians speak with music, and your bud Dario speaks with a relaxed ease that says much about your friendship and brotherhood.

Or maybe it's the 18-year old scotch. (Grin.) EXCELLENT job on the production, by the way. One of the best tunes I've heard on MJ for a while.

Please tell brother Dario I thoroughly enjoyed his song! If this is not to his own liking it certainly was to mine, I'd love to hear something he actually likes, I think he's too hard on himself, loved the lyrics and yes i did listen again to make sure i got them all

Was the image before, after or during the 18yr old scotch :P

Well indeed leanne the picture is actually a dude I used to work with when I was chef . His name is Herman and he spoke no english at all . But he was one of the coolest dudes I ever had the pleasure of crossing paths with .....that picture was taken one night after work at a bar .....i miss that guy ! He is too hard on himself ! Glad you enjoyed and hope you got a copy for a later listen : )

The acoustic guitar loop sounds like it's from that song "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman. Yah, the girl with the tarantula on her head, haha. =]
