Just did the bass line and mixed it this morning...
This is actually a song that is based off another song of mine called "Cold" (the Road)... a song I did for my girlfriend (now wife) back when I was 17.
I actually mixed the old song with the new song... kinda smashed the new in the middle of the old... **If you listen all the way to the end you will hear some of the vocals from the original song!**
I've wanted to do this for a while.

Great soloing as always. That is a very smooth and focused lead sound that you have. I like that the song features some very unexpected changes - keep the listener guessing, especially the end where, as you mention, you hear some original vocals. Very interesting mix considering that some of it is new and other parts are old. Seemed pretty seamless to me.
