I'm not sure what moon eclipse this is. I was way too tired to get up at the hour that the eclipse took place so I grabbed a NASA photo off the web. Back when I was younger, I stayed up way late or would get up early to see things like eclipses but adulthood and responsibilities have trimmed some of that behavior.
Thanks for adding this to your faves list. [ Reply to This ]

I like it. The spacey synth sounds in the chorus part. The groove (maybe a bit "fast" for a moon song,I just vision slow motion as in the old moon films) is still great. You have put this one together quite well my friend.

this is a song that I did quite some time ago but it is still one of my personal favorites. I'm glad you enjoyed it. [ Reply to This ]
Love those &mdash 08/29/07 - 03:52:05 PM
nice chords and changes. You always get some great sounds for our delight. I love the very back synth sound for moony-ness LOL, regards M [ Reply to This ]

You picked out one of the parts that I still like about this song when I hear it late at night in bed with my phones on ... the synth line in the back. Still gets me every time. [ Reply to This ]
sweet changes &mdash 08/29/07 - 09:34:23 PM
subtle & smooth. A moon lit night with legs. Cool funky backing tracks.
Luv'd the little space interlude.

Awesome chords going on here... nice jazzy and trippy drums. Also, the guitar is so nicely done that at first I couldn't tell whether it is a recording or not! However, one interesting tip that I have learned to make the guitar sound more realistic is when you have more than one note beginning at a time, offset each note by a hair. It makes it sound more hand-plucked and not so "computerized" and overly perfect. [ Reply to This ]

A little note about this song. I made some changes to this song after I recorded it a couple of years ago and I really improved it. One of the things I did with those changes was to do just what you suggest i.e. randomize some of the guitar notes and make some of them sound "strummed". Then I made a major error and LOST all the changes and even the GarageBand original tracks. One of these days I may get really ambitious and try to recreate the whole song and modify it the way I really want it to be. [ Reply to This ]
Excellent. &mdash 09/10/07 - 09:28:18 AM
Liking the bass line. It's only my somewhat eclectic opinion but I think the premier keyboard lines would have sounded lovely on a grand piano ( or it's synthetic equivalent). Nonetheless this is quality. And I recognize this particular eclipse, I saw it in my back garden. Be lucky. [ Reply to This ]
