Chorus
It's just a little lapse of memory , that's all
Not the kind of thing that happens all the time
I forgot to remember to forget that I love you
Just a little lapse of memory , that's all
Verse I
I know I'm not supposed to think about you darlin
I've tried to wipe your memory from my mind
I make myself forget about how close we used to be
And really it gets better all the time
But sometimes when I'm just a little lonely
I try to fight but baby it's no use
Well there's nothin I can do, to keep from being blue
I forget I'm not supposed to think of you.
Chorus
Break
Verse 2
I know I'm not supposed to be here on your doorstep
Specially since today's your wedding day
And I really wasn't trying to upset you
It's just that sometimes I forget to stay away
Chorus

I am in to your great vocals.
The harmonies and general rhythm of the tune brings to mind some fav bluegrass moments. The movement of the tune I think.
Well writen and beautifuly performed.
Nice recording as well.
You really know your stuff, my man. The Country just reeks of you.
Outstanding!

Thanks Tim. These are all old recordings of my early stuff. They were done on 1/2 inch 8-track which give you a lot of headroom to work with. If you can play the sound, you can capture it.
And to be truthful, I had a lot of fun doing these songs. Does it show?
Thanks again for listening and letting me know what you think.

Classy country! &mdash 08/29/07 - 06:13:06 PM
The original country rock sound really works - moves along well, has good lyrics and your voice is terrific. You've done this before I suspect ;)
A good post.

Well, I might have, maybe just once. &mdash 08/30/07 - 08:13:16 PM
Hey, we all bring our past experiences to the plate every time we're at bat. And each of us has a unique past so we bring a special sound and feel to the songs we write.
What's so good about this place is we get to share that with everyone else, and learn from everyone else because of their experiences.
I'm really glad you liked this track Neil. Thanks for listening and commenting about it. It means a lot to me.
