Description:
Where do you go to hide, when a love goes all wrong.
Recorded in 93 on analog tape in my studio. Played all the parts and sang all the vocal, so I get the blame for all of this. It's one of my early attempts do branch out from traditional country and get some blood pumping.
I hope you enjoy this little foray into my kinda rock.
Ed
Lyrics:
Into The Shadows
Words, Music and Arrangement By Edward C. Wemmerus Sr.

Verse 1
From the Honky-tonk on Main Street,
to the little roadside bar.
The neon lights all point the same direction
When your blinded by the fire,
of a love you've had in vain.
The last thing that you want is close inspection
Chorus
So you slip away,
into the shadows
Hide away,
in the darker side of life
Hopin', you will recover
In the shadows,
where the bright lights aren't so bright
Verse 2
On a sunny Sunday morning,
your a rainy Friday's child.
Prayin' you will make the sweet connection
You know in reality,
your doomed to live in darkness.
There isn't any hope for sweet correction
Chorus
So you slip away,
into the shadows
Hide away,
in the darker side of life
Hopin', you will recover
In the shadows,
where the bright lights aren't so bright
Pickin'
Repeat Verse 2 and Chorus

I was trying to break out of the country funk I'd got into, and this is the results.
I had a lotta fun doing this piece, and I'm glad you liked it.
Thanks for listening and commenting.
