Just got back from a hard day's work and this made me feel so relaxed... i don't play keyboards, but i think those are very skilled fingers on the keys.. very melodic... a little too short and ending a little abrupt, but overall a great listen for me. thanks for sharing this...

its the inner self creativity , the part
of completness of this earth creation to
express and open wide what the inside can
sing with. the peice open waves to the sphere
up above to be the joy of the time . I liked
the end its like a blink of reality as realizin
the total picture ... thank you for sharing this

What a wonderful... &mdash 08/30/07 - 11:07:06 AM
and poetic description Feter. It so closely aligns with my feelings about creativity and about this work. I'm glad you liked the ending. That's exactly what I had in mind.
Thanks and take care,
Charlie

Overall I must say this was so-so for me... there were good and bad parts... on the bad side, I didn't like the constantly bouncy-panned strings, and this does need an ending, instead of just stopping there in the middle. The strings sounded a bit synthy, but not too bad. On the good side, the strings and piano fit really nicely together compositionally, and it was an enjoyably warm relaxing wandering piano melody.

Eduard, I'm happy you gave this a listen. &mdash 08/30/07 - 11:24:45 AM
Your critiques are always learned and well reasoned and though I always don't agree with them I do respect and pay attention to them. Of course taste is subjective and if you didn't care for the strings you didn't care for them. As for the ending I'm happy with it.

This is a short piece and at least for me it's more effective ending as Feter said "like a blink of reality realizing the total picture" than going for a more traditional resolution.
Anyway good to hear from your Eduard,
Take Care,
Charlie

Oh yes, I am glad you understand and take this as simply my opinion, and it's definitely offered in a helpful friendly manner. I like your stuff, and like to compare/contrast to other things you have done. As far as strings, it is really tough to get a good realistic violin section sound (I'm struggling with that right now in my current work-in-progress.) So although I mentioned the strings sound so-so, I also know that I'll have the same (or worse) trouble! :-)

I like the chord progression you created for this piece especially. The left hand provides enough energy and carries the melodies. I could also hear the strings used to complement the piano with an additional melody line or just chords as a calm counterpart to the piano, like the soft voices you use during the intro. Very nice work!

It's always nice to hear good things said about your work but it's a extra bonus when you get such a careful listen and thoughtful comments.
I tried a few new things with this and I'm happy you heard them.
Take Care,
Charlie
