Mars Volta influence &mdash 08/30/07 - 08:42:08 AM
I dig the latin feel on the chorus, the Mars Volta influence. Nice drumming, altho the snare seems kind of hot in the mix compared to the other parts of the kit. I'd prefer the solo guitar phrases to be punched a bit more. Great energy, this must be a really good live song. I like the middle break when you have a few bits of space between vocal insertions ("fight your instinct") and the transition to the chorus - that part of the song is my favorite. Your vocals sound fresh and youthful, fun; there is just a tad too much distortion on and off throughout the mix for my old ears. Thanks for sharing you new band's stuff.

Very much... &mdash 08/30/07 - 05:35:07 PM
a Mars Volta influence, in places. I felt the vocals sounded a bit stretched at times and a bit low in the mix, but I like the energy of the music throughout. I felt that maybe it could have gone somewhere further at the end... it feels like more a whimper than a bang, but overall I did enjoy this.
