Description:
after years of mutual respect and support, it was only normal for the Hamlet machines to ask 5xa to remix a song. And he made a great job out of it, adding parts so catchy they just won't quit my head.

....a Euro-Magazine ?!
Fine work guys - Franz Ferdinand beware!
Love the oscillating toy racing car sound - is that our Bob at work?
Willie

is a Dirty-Magazine.
Bob added percs and a crazy synth sound that just bounces up and down, to and fro, and all around. It really gives adrenaline to the song.

hearing the same tune with different perspective mixes, posted at the same time. On to the third.
cjdaley
to do, as well. The song is very simple,so there's a lot you can do to it. be careful with the third, it's a mean one.

Great track guys - I love the little echoey guitar line on this, and Bobs keys make this a Euro disco classic! I'm trying to get Bob to do a disco track with me now after hearing this - it's his calling. Great mix on this.
Funkin!!

Let me first say how thrilled I was to have a chance to remix a Hamlet Machines song. 2 years ago when I stumbled upon MacJams, cjdaley's Billy Bullet was the very first song I heard and I became an instant fan of Hamlet Machines. As I continued to listened to the rest of the HM songs from the album "fantaste", I imagined the day that I would be more than just the fan club president.... That day has come.
Enough silly history.
It was a great experience to remix a song in the first place, but this one was really special. I didn't really do very much to the original song other than swap out some instrument assignments and add some simple and typical percussive sounds to fit my robotic needs.
It was obvious that there was no vibraslap and no shaker sounds. I fixed that right away.
It was also obvious that there was a great little hook buried deep in the song beneath the chorus vocals. I simply turned up the volume and gave it a new synth sound with the intention of stripping the flesh from this grooving android.
I loved the disco bass line and drums in the middle of the song, so I decided to another verse of that to the end of the song to keep the dancers sweaty. All that disco affected my senses and forced my to add a spasmatic and ferocious electro-blippity synth lead on top. I also played a wee bit with the panning of the lead.
Other than those few changes, it was all Hamlet Machines.
Thank you cj, it was my great honor.

I expected nothing but good things when I trusted you with this song. Thing is now i cannot imagine it without with extra synth part, which is both typical 5xa and totally fits the "damaged" interpretation of the harlequin character. It makes the song much better than it was. It's the version I hum to myself now. Thanks a lot.

Excellent job. Can't really compare, never heard the original. Maybe you can help me out on day, too.
You are a mixing master.

that was fun...listening to all three. I would dance to all of them, but this one is the most fun, and the most suited to an 80s or 90s cartoon about car racing. Lovely.

It's all about cartoons for you, isn't it!?
Thanks for listening estellie.
Are you going to return the favor anytime soon?
