bolanesque/everyone's a star (reference mix)
The fragment 'bolanesque' was sitting on my hard drive for many months. It was one of those things that you say to yourself 'this sounds good - I must do something with it'
I tried to enlist help from a couple of people in developing it (most notably Robert Shaw who came up with the lyric and the vocal melody)
What you hear here is the original 'bolanesque' fragment - with a 'constructed melody' from prosperine - created in soundforge. This is followed by an early version of 'everyone's a star' in which I did all of the vocal layers myself...
Ultimately I managed to get vocal contributions from Robert, David Griffiths and Carli Spina and 'everyone's a star' blossomed into this

everyone's a star
up there with their chosen ones

of something with a much bigger potential.Tends to just sit there and go nowhere fast, which at times is O.K, but not for too long.Thats just a personal taste issue. The song has some great elements, nice vocal work, interesting use of sound sources.Would like to hear a expanded version with a few changes to add interest.
Blessings,
