Description:
These are the lyrics to a previous instrumental that I posted with the same name. Its been a while since I've fooled with my equipment, but I think it came out alright.
(Warining: there are no cuts in this jam. Im a little out of practice so until I feel comfortable there will be no cuts on some of my jams).

I actually decided to re-do all the levels on the instrumental by putting all the levels to zero and slowly lifting each one. Thats about as good as mastering gets for those of us on a budget. Maybe as time (and money) progresses I will invest in mastering software.

Generally, I will have to listen to a song w/ lyrics on average, about three times - first I listen while hopefully, being taken by the vibe - then I'll go back and try to understand what's trying to be said, musically but mostly, w/ the lyrics - then I'll go back and listen for how well everything comes together - are the different elements being complimented or, how well are things being supported...
The first listen on this, I got that everything came together quite well - Excellent accompanyment choices - Very clear - Expressive in a distincly, positive way, but not corney (it can happen, ya know) - It's grooven - Creative - Nicely arranged and produced. - Pretty darned good levels, too - Nice mix -

.. and why I happily recommend you to any other hip-hop rap artists that arrive at MJ... that's how it's done ..they won't regret listening to this.
The delivery is phenomenal .. the feeling in the tone
is perfect .. the mix is spot on .. I love the use of
the violin btw, lyrically very good and important messages throughout.. I like the stream of consciousness approach .. and tying things back to the theme of regret...AND I might just have to get a T-shirt
with "More concerned with the fleshly things" written
on it ;o) .. what more can I say ..I'm certainly warming up to hip-hop rap, especially this breed we have here: yourself, Mr.Toast, Daromode and Craft to name the ones that's styles I dig.

Aside from the packaged, corporate version of rap music I feel that most of the culture is expressed with a poetic base. Individuals here on this site and all around the world feel that spirit and that is what I try to incorporate with every verse I make.
Im glad you have recognized a part of this genre that is the true essence of the culture attached to it.

I'm concentrating more on beat making and turtablism now (Both of which Im not that good at yet). I've been rapping sinc I was around 12 so writing lyrics for me is as natural as breathing (Though sometimes I get winded). Thanks for the stop by and the comment.

.. I have to admit up front that I'm not a rap fan.
BUT .. the lyrics and your delivery make this an exception. Eminem had a hit single with a similar style, and to me, this is at least as memorable. The lyrics really are very good. Excellent delivery!

I like to believe thats what music is suppose to do; evoke strong emotions and place you into the shoes of the artist. It may also be a part of the reason why our world is in such bad shape. The music we consume as a whole has no true artistry to it (there are always exceptions).
