my friend ! !
michael2
i just changed it to experimental. so glad you like, thanks for listening.

I like the whole feel of this and the vocals are tight! You guys did an awesome job on this and the production is top of the proverbial notch! Left me wanting more. Keep on keeping on!

i'm glad that you liked it. i did 2 versions but the first one was killing me, so i threw it away and re-did this today. the bass was giving me a really hard time on the dissonant passages. thanks for stopping by.
bud
Cause it's really amazing. I love what you've done here. I know there were some dissonant changes that didn't add up quite right and you've managed to make beautiful music. Reminds me of what I wish Peter Gabriel had moved into deeper in the eighties. Excellent vocals and lyrics.
Thanks for taking an interest in the tune - I really appreciate it. The cool thing is I appropriated on of my daughter's songs for Level of Actual - and now it's gone further. She'll like that.
michael2
for letting me mess around with it. i have a lot of fun toying with the works of others. makes me think of things i might not have otherwise (and this way I don't have to rip off your vibe outright). forgot your daughter was involved with this; that makes it a Bud Family Affair.
cjdaley
the idea of a lonely guy singing to the very music of the spheres. The string/choir (?) arrangements are space operatic, to say the least. ground breaking.
michael2
glad you stopped by. there is actually no strings or choirs; i ran an organ through some "spectral" something or other i downloaded last week. it's a pretty neat effect.
cjdaley
I got them. They're fun to experiment with. How could I (or you, I suppose) resist something called "dronemaker" anyway ? This is a terrific song, Michael.

No redeeming qualities
Michael and Bud....
Great feeling of tension throughout this

always happy when you approve of something I've done. thanks for coming by.

i'm getting better at GB little by little. i had a hard time mixing this one, but it seems to have worked out pretty good. thanks for listening.

THIS IS SO .....YES, LEVEL OF ACTUAL........AND A BEAUTIFUL MYSTICAL EXPRESSION OF THE HEART....I LOVE IT!

thanks so much for stopping by and giving my little song a listen. glad that you liked your listening experience.

Wow Michael. You really did an amazing job on this piece. I was taken away to a far away place (they accused me of trespassing). Beautiful and heavily emotive atmospheric vocals, as usual. What an unexpected tandem of talent.
Singularly, you and bud are nothing but innovative super talents, but combined, you are both just stupid. Stupid like Einstein.
This is a gorgeous piece of noise. There are moments when I actually had shiver-like symptoms from the build up of the instrumentation beneath your vocals. A real intense and dark, futuristic spider web laboratory sex appeal.
I always look forward to your next post.
Thanks!
michael2
very kind of you to say. i still like Buds original. This was much fun for me.

you really have been in a great productive mood the last couple of weeks.
Fantastic rendition, addition, vocalization, mesmerization, electrification to Bud's song. Very cool.

From the first line I loved this ... ethereal and emotional, a foggy devoton of sound ... very cinematic, a massive soundscape. This is truely excellent - I loved the original, and this really pushes it into the stratosphere.
The sort of song I wish I could write, someday

Michael, this piece is a fine piece of collab..
The singing reminded me, in some places, of John Lennon (in his latter period) for some reason.
The pulse/beat is almost Industrial in it's feel, to me. It probably sits OK in Experimental.
All I have to do now is listen to it through a better sound system to appreciate all the nuances, etc.. (I'm listening through a pc speaker at work, at the moment. Not the best of sound systems)!!
Paul.
Mystified
Great effects/additions on the instrumental, and love the vox, too.
Kudos :)
Quality stuff bro! Usually i will type a lot, now i will just say this: beautiful, the music, the vocals (!!! yummy) and too short (since i want good stuff to last forever...alas).
love,
Jb
It's It's It's.... I can't find a word... Excellent... 10 s all over it :D

for giving this a listen and commenting. Bud's original was very inspiring, that odd clunky rhythm was very appealing to me; and the rest just sort of came. some of it was neccesity (how much room is there to sing? what key should I use? there's no MIDI track, etc...). I love collaborating with people, such fun. glad you all liked.
I really dug Bud's original post, but you have taken this to a whole 'nother level Michael. Good lyrics and vocal delivery. Nicely done!
Be well!

Sound bed, vocals, production----all excellant. Keep waiting for that driving jam to appear but stands well as a mournful, haunting cinematic theme. Love that voice!

I really enjoyed listening to this. I liked the original as well but the added vocals gave it so much depth. Really cool song and so easy to get into. One thought, In my mind, I keep feeling this real loud drum solo coming in with an awesome beat and taking off with you yelling, "I don't care anymore" like a build up in the middle and then ending quietly like you did...regardless, it is a great song already. Thanks for a great collab and for sharing.
Dj French Toast
once B4 on this jam but I think the site froze .....I really dig this one alot love the whole feel ....Thanx for the download.

collaboration. Fantastic lyrics and vocals - very moving.

Oooh yes, I adore this kind of ambient vocalised music, but I wouldn't put it under 'experimental', it's much to 'evolved' to be considered as an experiment. A heavy bass and snare drum in a very down tempo would perhaps add at the end of the song. Just my idea... A great listen overall, Michael!
