Description:
Yet another collaboration backing piece.

A couple of my friends here asked me if this was a synth bass-nope, I'm playing a cheap 4-string bass for both the lead and rhythm part, using garage band's built-in effects for bass.

I'm sort of doing a double bass (rhythm and lead) in the first pass, then there's just the rhythm bass and drums after that which you can edit and loop as much as you'd like.

Feel free to collaborate, but please don't destroy the mood, whatever that means. Keep it in that "been smellin too much air freshener" feel. This isn't a thrash song although some distortion could work here (I can hear long drawn-out distorted chords, with a lot of reverb and maybe some bending, but that's me).

This has a pleasing, spacey effect effect to it. I can hear
some synths going on top of this. I love the distance of
the drums. The abrupt ending, I presume, was intentional.

Yeah, remember this is meant to be extended by others, so I repeated the
entire phrase for others to work with.

In order to allow others to loop it, it needs to stop where it does. That's why
the abrupt halt.

And for those who are dying to write "it's too short and ends funny",
remember this is for collaboration, not a complete song!

I got the key (D) but I would like to fatten up the bottom, hence bpm.

Sorry about that, I went home last night and wrote the key down (had to think
about it for a sec because I'm an ear player who knows a little scale theory),
but forgot to get the BPM. It's that whole work 2 jobs from 8:30am to 10:
30pm 4 nights a week that's killin' my entertainment quotient! :)

The song was recorded at 120BPM (guess I never change that since most
of my songs are at 120BPM-oops!).

By the way, that funky bass sound I'm using is straight out of garage band's
bass effects. Who needs a bass pedal (for recording anyway) when garage
band lets me plug in my bass and get some great sounds. Love it!

After spending two days with Arabian Blue, I come back to
this and am inspired by the liquid bass soundplay. Gotta
do something with this! Please excuse me for my bass
interests!
