I like... &mdash 08/31/04 - 02:13:13 PM
...where this is going. I'd also like to hear a monster time
sig change in the middle.

Guitar &mdash 08/31/04 - 03:03:12 PM
From a guitarists standpoint, I love the guitars. I love their interaction with eachother. Good use of effects and I think it's a rather good mix. Good job.

You have a good ear for combining and mixing sounds.
Good guitar playing -- very lyrical and pleasant tone, and
nice interchange between the tracks.

Nice variety in the drum track too.

The mix is pretty good, actually. But I'd like to hear just a
bit more variety in the musical texture. It all sounds sort
of the same from beginning to end without much
contrast.

Very pleasant sounding tune overall, though. Good job!

Wall of graceful power &mdash 09/03/04 - 08:46:52 AM
What I like best is the wall of power that is not
overbearing but graceful, a very difficult thing to pull off.
The "B" section is wonderful with its key changes and
more aggressive rhythmic sense, and a needed change of
direction, since the "A" section lacks a certain motion and
variation, and is not as compelling as the power of the
piece promises. Kind of a New Age Power piece.
Excellent sounds and mixing. There is a hitch before your
fade out coda, as if you cut and pasted a loop to begin
again, which takes away from the sense of it being played
by live players. Well done track.

I know, I forgot to fix it.... ;-)

Congratulation for being the first who discovered it! :-)
It tells me that you really listened trough the whole track. ... Wich I am very
grateful for!

Thank you!

good demo &mdash 09/05/04 - 08:31:06 AM
You say it's a demo, for that I think it's pretty good. I
agree with Cameron and others here, you have a good ear.
This sound carpet of guitars is something that could easily
get out of control, but you manage to hold it with grace.
What is totally stomped now is the drum track. It more or
less acts as a metronome. Also the bass is more
accompanying the piece rather than carrying it. Other than
that I find the overall sound refreshing. About the ending
– the language you speak with this song could lead to a
different, more adequeate ending.
