big brass licks (1)
Description:
This is an unfinished song that I wrote in 2004. My second track written using Reason V 1.5

It was originally destined for a film-maker friend of mine who was was asked to make a Promo video for a Kick-Boxing club near London.

Dave "Flatch" Fletcher added a guitar track but that version seems to have disappeared from my workstation.

This is still work in progress that needs guitar and sound f/x, the latter of which I have in mind if we ever get to the stage of creating a video.

Collaborators are most welcomed on this one.

Kung Foo vibe &mdash 09/09/07 - 11:54:40 PM
Great soundtrack Graham,

I can sse this woking over some Kick-boxing action. It has that kind of "Rocky" feel to it - and deffo something a bit Bruce Lee.

Can you tell I know nothing about kick-boxing & kung-foo???

Never mind - it's a nice groove.
(There a few duff notes in there I think? I'm sure they will be ironed out as and when this developes?)

Cheers,
Phil

Rocky? &mdash 09/10/07 - 10:20:49 AM
Rocky Robin more like lol - I was thinking more Kill Bill actually.

After laying down the brass tracks, I added some additional live brass sounds during the mix. This was to make it sound a bit more human. Phil, correct, there are some duff notes but a layer or two of grunge guitar as I would like should balance out the overall song.

Great track Graham - this has a great upbeat, cinematic feel - I agre with Phil about 'Rocky'... also reminds me a little of the Psychedelic Furs. Great swagger to this - top track!

Good funk &mdash 09/23/07 - 10:46:24 AM
I like the funk in this track, its been well put together. There is nice mad synth work as well thats good and a cracking stable beat. Cool brass work. Even my wife liked the track, so it must be good as she does not always like the tunes on macjams. Well done
