Description
I like many others here in MacJams was inspired to write music around Linda Courtien (OneSweetWorld) lyric's to Psycho. A vocal sample that she put up on her MacJam page. I put up the sound bed for this tune awhile ago but it didn't feel completed. So I took it off. Later a fellow Jammer (guitapick) who listened to it wanted to an instrument version of it using Linda's vocal melody. He's playing kicked a$$ so I asked for his tracks. With in a couple of days I mixed everybody's parts together and now it feels completed to me. I hope you enjoy our version of Linda's inspired tune.

Hectorious:Bass, Rhythm guitar, Synth, and Garage Band#3

Linda Courtien (OneSweetWorld): Vocals

Robert Prince (GuitaPick): Lead Guitar

Man, I love...
...when that bass comes in...

Unearthly spookiness of lost love demons in the vocals...really captures that wrenching hurt...

And then more of re-emerging guitapick-the-electric... Reminds me a little of Robert Fripp and Terre Roche doing 'Exposure', long ago...

Thank you
for stopping by to listen to this tune. I appreciate the insight. Man I tell ya it feels good to put all these puzzle pieces together. I hope I did a decent job of mixing it all together.

Im not even sure...
...if alternative rock is the right genre for this. This definately goes under the "Other" category just by the fusion of the guitar and electronic. Of course that bass is kicking much tail and brings out the intesity of the song.

I don't know. They need to make a fusion genre or something it has so many well blended techniques. Maybe we should make a new one...lets call it "Hectorian" music.

Thank you
I don't think I'm deserving of my own category but thank you so much for the complement. I was just trying to do some thing different with Linda vocal track. There so many version of her Psycho vocal track that I just wanted to take it to a different place. I was trying to give her vocals a gritty intense sound to match her lyric's. My main thing was timing. Making sure the sound bed I came up with would totally be in line with her vocals. The finishing touches came with Bobs ear piercing guitar licks. He did an instrumental version of this song with the sound bed I made for psycho. It totally rocks and so I ask Bob to send me his guitar tracks. I took some of his tracks chop them up and lined them up with Linda's vocal. I am very lucky to have great talent pool here in MacJams to work with. They inspire me and help me complete these idea's.

Thank You

"Hectorian Music"...
...hmmm...I'd say that has just the right amount of chivalrous bravado combined with a certain Victorian charm that encompasses all of the sensitive, yet completely ass kicking music that comes out of Mr. Hectorious' head/heart/soul.

Sounds great, Hector. Thanks for including me in it...

Cool ..

love the bass .. overall has some sound a little akin to the old "Equalizer" theme tune in some respects to me.. you know, starring Edward Woodward - was a S.Copeland tune I think (?)

Sweet blend. Great performances all round. Interesting
and exciting vibe. Bit more sinister take than other
versions.

Kudos.

I'm all about the
Sinister Hector:0}
I'm sure you've heard of the band (garbage). I was trying to get a little bit of that vibe in it with Linda's vocals. I was also thinking like a Mission Impossible feel with the music.
I'm glad you dig it...Thanks
