Thanks Feter &mdash 09/11/07 - 07:35:08 PM
I decided to do a song just for the fun of doing something different. This is the results. I wanted to break out of the country mold and get back to some of my roots so I wrote this stupid little song, and away I went.
Anyway Feter, I'm glad you liked it. Thanks again for the comments.

Lots of Fun &mdash 09/13/07 - 03:09:13 PM
This is a fun one. Very clever lyrics. Has a nice seamy feel to it. I mean, everyone knows this guy. The production was great. Some of the background vocalizations sounded a little low, but I don't know if that was the mix or because I listened with earbuds.
Enjoyed it. [ Reply to This ]
I used to be that guy. &mdash 09/13/07 - 07:38:33 PM
Or so I'd like to think. Just kidding of course, but yeah we all either know or have seen someone that fits the bill. He's kinda the Leisure Suit Larry of my imagination.
Anyway, I did have some fun building this one up from scratch. I think I kept the harmony vocals down for two reasons. I really didn't like the way they came out, and I was too lazy to fix them by that stage of the recording process.
Thanks for listening and for the kind words. I'm glad if it made you smile just a little.

Thanks Maurice for the kind words.
These are all songs I did in my home studio between about 1989 and 1995. I was sending them in to get them copyrighted so I needed demo tapes for the copyright office and these were some of the better ones. You really don't want to hear the other ones I haven't posted yet, I can assure you.
Thanks again for listening Maurice. Always a please to have you here.

Nice one &mdash 04/29/08 - 09:07:26 AM
I like the imagery in this one ..reminds me of the idea Jimmy Buffet has in "Sharks" or is it "Fins"....whatever this is a groove and a half......cheers

Thanks Chris &mdash 04/29/08 - 04:10:37 PM
I looked it up, and it's "Fins"
I think it's safe to say we have all either been, or known someone like this. And for those who say it wasn't them I say "Dog Squeeze". It's the nature of the beast, get over it.
Anyway, thanks again for the kind words and great comments Chris. As alway they are very much appreciated. Glad you enjoyed the song my friend.
Be well
Ed
