Description

I started out working up something for LIOLI, and then gott so far away from it I gave up. I ended up experimenting with the e-bow and Mystifieds vocals from Kyrie (an accapella she did here: http://www.macjams.com/song/33286). they were just so close to the chord progression, it had to be done (and they are certainl nicer than the LIOLI loop i started with). listed it under experimental as it was an experiment.

THink Sigur Ros on this one:a droney wash. If you hate that sort of thing, best look elsewhere.

	Mysti Mountain Chop Very good - very good indeed - the pun and the song. Along with Sigur Ros I always hear early Floyd (Atom Heart Mother - Valley Obscured By Clouds)) where piano is applied to this sort of thing. when faced with the choice of some scuzzy pirate or Mysti, the decision making process is pretty easy. glad you liked this one, you know I love Floyd. I love this ...alot . I really like the droney , head space music in general and this really is right in there . Sweeet song ! Nice creamy vocal sweet ass guitar ...downloaded right away thanx for the new song ! I find myself never listening to any other music other than macjam music now and people will ask me what I listen to and I just say real music made by people I care about and never ask for a dime to listen to there soul spilled out yeah thats what I tell em ; ) Great tune !

Lovely tune
I would not say this was depressing (an earlier comment), I would say your tracks esp this one is thoughtful and comtemplative. I like this track for those reasons and yes I agree with the other comments that this does have Floyd influences (I like Floyd as well). Very nice to sit back and listen to this one. Well done and good choice of vocals.

dissonance consonance
I have to deal with a lot of dissonance when I edit my daughter's stuff and I found myself using it. Then I read that dissonance followed by consonance gives direction and punctuation to a piece. So I am hearing a weave of dissonance and consonance that is interesting to me; in your piece. Not depressing at all... tasty I would say. Also I would think some evocation of new sound in combinations. Anyway that would please me as a composer.

	dreamy really good soundscape; you have all the tiny spaces filled with an interesting wave of sound. it seemed nothing was left undone, yet everything left ot the imagination. i would have loved to have heard the original aiff of this, as it is probably ten times the experience than the compressed mp3. bravo!

This one really gave me an idea.Have you ever thought about re-recording "So far", with this approach?

Wow man!
You're a force to be reckoned with my friend. Now I don't feel so bad about ditching the LIOLI my own self! I only wish mine would have turned out like this. Maybe next time? Tasteful and tight would be putting it mildly. This really grabbed a hold of me from stem to stern, unlike a "pirate" song would have ;-P Kudos brother, very nicely done indeed.
