Description:
The title means "feast at the palace". I used a apple tabla loop and my electric tanpura, which generates the sound of Indian acoustic tanpura, a sampling of one, and soloes over that.

Thank you very much Feter,... &mdash 09/13/07 - 07:02:41 AM
I am glad to succeed in Indian music!!! I purposely put an indian feel to the taqsim, but really I think it all stays flamenco/deep song. I am really liking playing with the tabla, because it is a drum that can be tuned accurately like a string instrument, and I can chose the pitch on my tanpura to match it. I see a feast at an indian palace with dancers, to this.

I find myself &mdash 09/13/07 - 09:39:39 AM
waiting for this to rocket off into a full on psychedelic jam.
Perhaps I listen to kula shaker too much.
This puts me at that feast wolfing down pakora and nan.
I'll grab this one too. Thanks.

to know this works for you, and thanks. Yes nan, love that bread. I never feel better than after eating indian food, some pretty high level chemistry going on there!!! That is a great idea to take this into a full jam!!! I don't know kula shaker, but I will look them up on the net.

I really felt my hands limber on this one, and self relaxed enough to let my riffs flow at their maximum. The ending??? I know, I have to learn to use the fade out feature on garage band, not knowing I though it might be alright to to cut the tablas at their last beat of the cycle, but now I am thinking to cut them on the first beat!!!!

Are you the most prolific MJ guitarist or what? You crank out one lovely tune after another. Love it!

Be well!

Thanks mike,... &mdash 09/19/07 - 07:30:45 PM
Prolific because I play when I feel like it, improvise for the moment, and lately I have had every reason to play. You have mainly been in an arrangement mode, you do it well, and there is much to be said for that approach, aside from it being rewarding. I plan on getting into an arrangement mode, where I really think everything out!!! I am sure, after hearing your music you could sit down and play as if in party, or juera (flamenco celebration).
