Description:
Escape the System. With time on my hands and lots of music hardware lying around, I made this one in computer class. The pulsing texture kind of makes me think of running, so I thought of escape. It's kind of a work in progress. I need to install Nexus onto a school computer to get a better synth engine for the main riffs in the song. There you go. Escape the System.
Enjoy!

Pulsing it is!!! &mdash 09/18/07 - 10:19:10 AM
This would for sure get people on the dancefloor. I somehow imagine a violin in it somewhere..but that is my ear...

Great... &mdash 09/18/07 - 09:19:21 PM
I love the drive behind this, synths are excellent as are. It could use another instrument/noise in there but that is just me. Wonderful work. [ Reply to This ]

you've got my attention! &mdash 09/20/07 - 12:02:26 PM
Pretty strait forward trance, but it's got a nice build up. I recognize those garageband instruments. I'm happy that you didn't use loops though!
Keep rocking it,

Glad you like it! and thank you for commenting. Yes, for this song I did use a lot of stock instruments. I've found that the bass drum in the techno kit sounds heaps better than the one in the dance kit. [ Reply to This ]
Good drive! &mdash 09/21/07 - 12:32:18 PM
Fortunately for the trance genre (since I as a Dutchman got shot to death by Tiesto) you are here to innovate. Good tune brother. Only small point of criticism is that some sounds are unintentionally distorted?! That must be a matter of post-production or my speakers. Good job MKVX, it has a nice positive vibe.

Yea. The distortion thing was a bit of a careless mistake. I had the main mix in Garageband up a little too high, which gave it a bit of distortion here and there. I exported it and sent it home (it was made at school) only to realize that it had the overdriven distortion. But since I've stopped downloads of all my songs, I thought it sounded good for posting. Oh yea, I can't stand DJ Tiesto either. I think he's all show and no go. Adiago for Strings is the only thing I can bear.

Great clubbin' track &mdash 09/23/07 - 09:06:37 AM
I love the moving bassline, that really makes you wanna dance. Good synths (as usual), however I agree with JB that the melody does clip and distort. Apart from that (which is tiny) the track is a cracker. A great dancefloor club track. Nice one [ Reply to This ]
