Description:
Well this one is intense ....It started with Michel2 Who will be known from here out as Mike deuce . He wanted to do a little colab so he shot me over a tune and I listened and loved it but then the nexed day he shoots me over one called 668 the neighbor of the beast and it was too... great trip hop style song ....sooo I chopped it up and sent it over to Dj Werd Who loved the chops and he cut and sliced it up and sent it back to me and Spitlogic and I had been wantin to do a colab so I shot it over to him and voila ! Just dropped my little verse on it today and mixed it up for your listening pleasure . Hope you enjoy and drop over to these guys pages cause all their music is dope and worth your time to check out !

Spit Logic

Lyrics:
Spit Logic Verse

Spitlogic, a mix between western
society
Egyptian philosophy and Black ideology
I share a mind with Socrates and challenge hypocrisy
In this global economy of corporate camaraderie
I have lyric that can clearly inhibit the spirit and nearly
Prohibit
Any vividly show of the fearless
It's sheer bliss when I rock it
But not for the profit, I got it locked with logic
And dichotomize pockets
I don't drop hits
I drop science and mosh pits
Never lost it
I stay flawless with my delivery
Preaching the gospel like a mic ministry
With lyrical energy
And holding up a middle finger for the industry
That has the gall to try and censor me
CEOs lack empathy so I don't have no problems to watch
The music companies fade into nothingness and into infamy

French Toast Verse

French Toast more than just a breakfast food
orange juice gives a boost but its not the same dude
like a giant scrubbin bubble washin over your mind
in a trance like state boy aint it sublime
contagious outrageous spittin fire like bics
try to keep us locked up but we gat Jedi mind tricks
yes were the emcees that youve been lookin for
spitlogic and frenchy t well have you beggin for more
subliminally plantin seeds through your neropaths
these concepts grow roots before you even have a chance
but these concepts dont cripple they do a body good
before you get upset let me make it understood
hiphop will drip through your veins like morphene
makein ya phisically stronger like extra protein
our words will carode a hole through your sole
take over your body and make the young feel old

Ahhhh &mdash 09/27/07 - 09:42:44 AM
that sux ! It came out nice but Im having issues with the mix .I wanna get the original sound song so I can tweak everything. Seems like its so soft or too loud lout at parts . But the concept is nice I think our voices do well in colabs and writing styles complement each other well ....I really need to learn how to transfere the whole file so were not loosing quality in the mix ! I hope to be doin alot more work with ya man! Time allowing of course : )

I must admit... &mdash 09/27/07 - 01:58:56 PM
...I was surprized by this tune. As I listened I wanted to here the vocals centered at times. The L-R vocals are good, yet become uneffective. There's a nice percussion rest, though brief, gave me something to think about. The first echo on vocals could have been more effective if faded sooner (or panned). The fast echo on phrases would sound better on the last word only. It ended too soon. I keep taxing the idea (with many songs) that a variation (chorus, bridge) somewhere would continue to hold interest. Vocals were very clear and articulate. Performed with conviction.

If I'd rated this, "good, solid, skilled, undercooked" would be my vote. Alternating centered/Panned vocals; variety in rhythm, extending with the addition of a "middle" would give this some serious character, and increase its likeability.

Thanx &mdash 09/29/07 - 12:10:58 PM
Al for the careful and appreciated tips on the mix dude ! I just remixed it and your right it does need a centered mix to keep it ...Uhhh I dont know ....fresh I guess you would call it . It made me critically re listen and heard that my vocal was too loud in the mix as well .....I find it hard to get and even mix doin the colabs cause were not quite doin it right yet . Were just sendin mp3's back and forth and this doesnt allow for proper mixing and leveling . I hold your opinion of musical production in high regards and will appreciate any and all comments you may have on any of my songs ...thanx dude and glad you enjoyed the over all concept : )

Spitlogic and Toast, with Mike Duece and Werd. (I'm ashamed that it actually took me a few seconds to figure out the 'duece' part... we old guys, boy, the brains get slower than televised golf. Slowwwww...)

Another winner, Benny. You guys have cooked up a wicked brew here. Yet another MacJams Supergroup forms.
