Description
This was a silly project that I couldn't resist. I hope no one is offended. I don't know if this kind of music with a mix of New Age music and sounds recorded from nature is available world-wide but there is lots of it in Canada (and I have some in my collection as well....although not quite like my composition).

Where is the Pict
This reminds me of a Pink Floyd song that ends with some strange sounds that are supposed to be an ancient Scotsman. Fun stuff.

Wow
Pink Floyd is pretty high on the comparison scale :o). Seriously, this was just an attempt to exaggerate the standard CD's of this type, and I thought that having a bear chase a slew of animals out of their serenity would be a python-esque way to end it.

Were you asking about the Pict as in the race of ancient northern Scottish peoples, or where was the picture taken? If the former, I think the bear got him. If the latter, then the picture at the top is in one of the city parks in Bremen, Germany where I was visiting last week (what a beautiful city!)

Bear
The bear must have got him. The Pink Floyd song is from Umaguma [sp?] if you have access to it. I think its called "Several Small Furry Animals Grooving in a Cave with a Pict", not a very concise title but descriptive.

Keep having fun with the music!

Very tongue-in-cheeky
I like it... lulls you into submission before startling the pants off ya... I always like silly stuff like this (although a scared cat scream would give it another 10 points of silly) and actually rather well put together too, I might add. A belated welcome to Macjams!

Great idea!
More domesticated animals would take this further over the top, and a cat would be a great sound to add. Maybe some dogs too. I'll revisit this post if I do a remix. Thanks for stopping by and for your comments!
Keep well,
Doug

I make music for pleasure, usually on my own. I do sometimes jam with a local celtic group, playing bodhran and 12 string guitar. In my 4th year of university I had a project with some friends to make a synthesizer which produced chords by detecti... [see more]
