Description:
I love lots of beats and I also like hearing hip hop lyrics over a drum and bass track. So I saw Spitlogic had one more acapella left (as I did not want to remix Regret after Justbase's excellent version) and the bpm was right, so I had a go. I got myself straight into it and completed it the next day. Its just a simple drum and bass track and I hope you all enjoy the it as the lyrics in some places are a bit hard to mix in. Apart from that I think it works.

great catchy hook bass line .. love all the beats/variations and scratching too .. and the high flutish-like voice works too - could maybe have that
appearing in one side first .. then the other when it
re-appears.. the descending 'throbbing' synth I like as well .. lots to like .. not keen on the very distorted vocal, my only quibble.
Really, really good - works very well together. Kudos.

Thanks for the detailed anylsis. I think you are right about panning the flute. I keep forgetting to do that with my tracks, as it has been commented on before. I'm glad you like the track though and thanks for listening. And this time I will listen to what is being said. Cheers man!
Goldie n Krs-1! It works, the dnb genre is really difficult. You left few stones unturned in that department. I dig that distorted bassline. Makes me grab my head and do a little gabba dance. What I really dig are all the inbetween parts. Very skillful freestyling. Another art that is often forgotten in dnb, and you did that. Yeah! I dig this track and all the little quirks in it. Spitlogic must scratch his head, like...errr...hip-hop...hahahaha, No Spitlogic, as you said in regret, it is in its ice-age. Here is the dawn of a new sun, son! Nice ouxtro with the subtle melody in the background. Digged it like a lemming getting tired off falling of the cliff (and thusly digs a little hole;-)). Have no idea what it means....
Love,
Jb
ps, thanks for keeping your promise (much appreciated)
Go on and do the Regret thing. Really, no pun felt, even if rocks my dogs bullocks. I enjoy quality and do not thrive on envy.

Thanks for the funny and detailed comment. Much appreciated.
I tried with this track, to do as much as possible without there being too much so that it would spoil the track. Cheers for listening anyway bro, and also look forward to your next one.
I don't know about remixing 'Regret', I might. I'll wait to see if inspiration comes knocking and gives me a few ideas on how to approach that track from a different angle.
P.s. I always try to keep my promises.
WOW DUG IT A LOT.... VERY CREATIVE WORK I'M IMPRESS... CHEERS.
Take care

I love drum n bass. I can never work a beat to sound quite like it (yet). I love to hear the flows over some of them and actually freestyle over some tracks. I would love to spit a few flows over something else you may have. I wish I had a better mic at the time this was done, but the music takes away from faults of the audio. Thanks for brining this acapella back to life.
Diviner
Hey Spit, I'm just glad that you like what I have done. I am always unsure of how the original owner of the track is going to react after the remix, but I am glad that you have liked both. Justbase has encouraged me to do a remix of 'Regret', but we will have to see. By the way your vocals go really well with drum and bass, so we will have to collab one day. Thanks for your encouraging comments and thanks for letting me remix.

lllllllove all the different combinations that wah synth sounds really spooky sci-fi and that distorted kind of scream that cuts in twice I think is quite disturbing! (in a good way).Enjoyed its ferocity - thanks

Thanks once again.

it has an addictive distorted bass line. the unusual changes between sections feel like a brain unstuck from time. it has no brakes. too much inertia to enjoy life, pushed onward with no ability to stop or change direction. it is this feeling that the music aptly creates. it is intriguing. 0x0

Hope it did not numb you out too much and overload your circuits. Your comments are intriging as well. Thanks for popping by and listening. Hope to see you round here again.

Wikkid! Very complex scratching.

for coming round and having a listen. Thanks for the comment. Its always good to see new faces on the tracks I have done. The scratching was done by by Spitlogic, I just mucked about with the acapella. Have a listen to the original, its very good. Hope to see you again.
