Alimar, this is a very nice work,
The 4th version and still !! It's really a great impressive work !
Have you ever played Stronghold ? it's classical old game (old in the story), this theme really fits this game

Really darn good! &mdash 10/06/07 - 09:57:49 AM
you certainly have a nack for this. It makes me miss the days when I did this type of music. Great orchestrations and brilliant composition overall. Wonderful transitions and themes throughout. Keep 'em coming [ Reply to This ]

gaming &mdash 10/10/07 - 09:16:23 PM
I used to make games back when hypercard was in vogue. used little clips of sound as there was not really much memory. it would have been nice to have a track like this to insert. [ Reply to This ]
You're getting subtler, Alimar... &mdash 10/12/07 - 08:54:48 PM
Your pieces are getting a little quieter, a little less dramatic, and I think a bit more melodic, more likely to carry melodic phrases over a longer stretch... I'd go so far as to say that melody's your growing edge...You've got a strong sense of rhythm and a sense of harmony...Capture a totally singable set of melody lines, and I think something cool will come of it...
I just know another version's comin' along... I seem to have missed a few already...

scurrying, contemplation and resolution flowing to make this soundcape sound to me very much like dawn before an epic battle. very nicely done and an extremely interesting listen. very nice! [ Reply to This ]
A hive of activity! &mdash 10/31/07 - 09:28:56 AM
This is the first of your pieces I have had the pleasure to hear. Wow! It really tells a quite an interesting story as the themes are introduced, pass to other instruments, weave together and die away. Very effective harmonies and interplay between the brass and strings after the introduction. Love the melody introduced by the harp (?) about 80% the way through, which is picked up by the flutes and the strings before the quiet close. Powerful variance in the dynamics with effective use of silence. I can't help but think of Carl Stalling (wrote music for Bugs Bunny cartoons) when I hear pizz. bass runs - which is meant to be a compliment BTW!
Thanks so much for sharing this piece!
All the best,
