Description:
This song has very little to do with the month of January, except it was written in January 2005. That was the title in my song book and I just thought it was a fitting title. A little sad, yeah I know. But winter sucks!

Great... &mdash 10/06/07 - 11:25:25 AM
really like this tune - Excellent arrangement and your vocals sound really good. Perhaps your voice gets a bit lost on the busy part of the song and there's some slightly unplesent sibilance on your voice that could be a bit of clipping (the mastering may have exgagerated it). These Minor crits aside - this is an excellent song - and one that gets better the more you listen.

Thanks Peter &mdash 10/10/07 - 04:57:50 AM
Concerning production: I've just decided not to take too much time with prod. It just takes too much time. So, I'm just doing the best I can in a limited amount of time...............too busy.
I just hope for the best and cocentrate on writing the songs. Glad you liked it.

One of the best things you've posted - echoes of the Mary Chain in this. Love the creepy guitar and understated vocal

Dave i think that this is your best so far, the guitar playing (arpeggios) in the background just superb, and you controlled the vocal here in a great way ! Very nice post ! willing to hear more.

Nice tune, Armburster.

Guitars are really clear and moody and you are such a good singer. Love the vocals on this one. Don't want to forget to mention you master those drum sounds and the effects glued to them.

Another download.

Thanks Dave.

Thanks bro &mdash 10/09/07 - 04:50:07 AM
I'd like to put some more up, but I still get tech problems. Thanks for the good words about the drums. I find that often the most difficult thing about producing other than the vocals.

Zombies... &mdash 10/09/07 - 06:16:25 AM
...there's a ghost of the 60s group Zombies with some stripped-down 80s vibe fleshing out the tune. Very strong and very atmospheric. You're right about the drums; getting "what's in your head" to match "what's in the song" can be difficult with the drums in GB, but you did a great job here.

Love the Zombies &mdash 10/10/07 - 04:54:04 AM
Thought they were a bit underrated. thanks for taking the time, Rik. And it is hard to get the drums right.
Glad you liked it.
