Description:
What it is...Imagination is a wonderful thing. There is a long descending sequence that starts at 1:52. That's sort of what made me think of this title. This is a delicate number. Listen when you can concentrate.

Aautumn Sequence &mdash 10/06/07 - 12:20:12 PM
So wonderfull chilli winds ...as its started
and it gives that heaviness in meaning when
the left hand pressed with harder ..as turns
delicate and elegant playin and melody ..
you can listen to this over and over and every
time you can enjoy it and find some new taste !!
this is a classic ..this is a gem my friend !!

Greatly rewarde by close listening &mdash 10/06/07 - 12:54:02 PM
You're playing is exquisite. This piece is very strong, confident and moving. I'll have to listen a few more times before I have anything more "musical" to say.
Faved and DL's. I'm building my Page library.

I hear . . . &mdash 10/06/07 - 03:00:01 PM
Paul, your composition sounds like a blend of Bach, Mozart, Satie, Billy Joel, and John Rutter. (And I mean that in a good way!) Very pleasant and interesting. You derive a lot of joy from your piano playing. That is very evident.

The instrument you're playing is really very beautiful. I don't know if I like it better than Akoustic Piano Steinway, but it sure ranks right up there as a top-flight piano sound.

I can't tell from the recording, of course, how well the instrument responds to your touch, but based on my experience with the 'old' Ivory, it probably does quite well.

Sounds like this was worth the money!

And thanks for sharing your joy of playing with us.

Seasonal beauty - &mdash 10/07/07 - 04:55:50 AM
simple in its way, then you add the sequences and chords that stretch us just a bit. I enjoyed this very much. I like the piano voicing you are using and the clean piano sounds you're getting. I hate to analyze too much, because that gets in the way of the direct auditory enjoyment I'm getting from this. As always, a jewel.

hi paul &mdash 10/07/07 - 11:52:14 AM
considering this is a piano module, you captured the sentiment really well. I am a professional pianist - and that being my primary instrument, I only record on the real thing - did u record this in real time? this is great, clean, virtuosic playing. I know how difficult it would be to capture a performance like this in real time. In essence the piece reads like a theme and variations - blend of impressionistic and new age (a la Winston and Brickman) - with touches of Rutter, Satie, and Debussy. Thanks for sharing.

as always, paul

this sounds like "folk piano" or something...very simple and earthbound, and full of glory.

just great....a joy

Listening... &mdash 10/09/07 - 03:59:39 PM
...to your music is such a pleasure, Paul.

Thanks for the tip on the sequence at 1:52. Very fine picture, there...the flight of a leaf, parting from the branch and being blown, with it's compatriots, here and there...

Gosh, that sounds real... &mdash 10/12/07 - 09:37:42 PM
The way those notes decay...

Having that great Ivory software seems to play to your strengths as a musician. You can pause, and let that pause 'ring', and there's a sense of musical rest with no sense of emptiness... There's a sense of a fine instrument resonating from note to note...

And this tune feeds that resonance. It's a resonant piece, and it sounds like one thing, a flow, not a series of discrete musical moments...

Very organic, very much alive...

Ed

right then paul &mdash 12/08/07 - 05:09:39 PM
"piano" is such an inadequate genre description for work like this. it should be "soul music"...you have it and it feeds mine..trying to say you are an extremely pleasant find after 3months slogging thru this place. wonderful!
