I haven't seen the film but this stands up perfectly well on its own. Love the way the brighter more melodic section just ripples through after the dark opening section. And the vocals work so well - very subtle, but perfectly judged. A great piece of work.

That castle on top of the hill in your pic does not look too dissimilar to 'the devils house' in the movie

I appreciate your listen and your thoughtful comments

The "castle" in my pic is a lightning-struck church on top of Glastonbury Tor in the UK. That's a spooky place for sure and I've had a few chilling moments up there!

I would love that too...I am sure it would be perfectly possible. I would try it myself if I had the expertise with cameras and video editting software etc...

Thanks for the listen

I always enjoy these concept pieces that you both do so well.

Music/production to die for and singing, the envy of angels.

And of course nothing ever wasted or boring.

Take care.

Paul.

I totally agree - dark and a little scary. I had watched the movie Dead Mans Shoes and it had quite a profound effect on me. I happened to be working on this at the time along with echoroom's version of 'like worshipped chicago dogs'. This one seemed particularly apt as a soundtrack piece to the movie and it will always remind me of it now....
