The tunes introduction reminded me somewhat of Beethoven but that was all. The rest painted the picture you intended.

The ending was rather a surprise.

That's the word that comes to mind. It has a good feel of sweet lyricism and a floating quality (which given the title, that's a plus :P). Keep up the good work!

RE the ending...perhaps...just perhaps...you should have opted for a slow fade.
