Tadashi, tastful like an aged wine. Subtle and nuanced and oh so rich in style. Love the melody head. Great solo'ing [ Reply to This ]

Kick Back and enjoy &mdash 10/11/07 - 09:33:46 PM
Nice stuff. The melody in the bass is catchy. Your guitar parts are very smooth. And their is just the right touch of the other instruments (by Mori?) to fill out the song and give it that '60s jazz combo sound.
Thanks

Mori played all the other instruments.

Australia finally becomes warm.
Please enjoy the visit of spring.
Bicycle of desert?
It seems to be very old.
Perhaps, is it the one 60 years ago?

Tadashi... &mdash 10/12/07 - 05:34:47 PM
I caught this quick when you first posted it and now two days in a row the song will not play. From my one quick listen I remember the minimum amount of instrumentation with the acoustic bass carrying this piece along and then Tadashi comes in with some woderful jazz playing. I will be back for a closer listen when the song will play again. [ Reply to This ]

The sound of the bass... &mdash 10/13/07 - 10:37:23 PM
...is indeed special here. Very woody, deep, but clear, and with a nice upper register as well. Nicely phrased and played.
The Tadashi work very sensitively spirals around and supports that theme in the bass...a nice intertwining occurs, in which the guitar doesn't end up dominating or running away with the melody, but comments on and augments the original track...
Good to hear... playing it just before bed tonight...quite nice...

Great concept &mdash 12/16/07 - 08:29:59 PM
Mr. Tadashi, this is one of the best MacJams tracks I have heard in a long time. What a pleasure. You both have such a natural feel for this kind of jazz. I really love your guitar solo. So intuitive and creative.
The chord sequence is very smart, and appealing.
The piano sounds very real. Is that software, or the real thing?
Bass work is really tremendous. So well-played, and so well-recorded, too. Ray Brown would be pleased. [ Reply to This ]
