Description
This is just an intro idea for a classical piece.

It's roughly based on someone preparing for something, loosely put.

It's one of many ideas I am working on from time to time, so may not be finished or added too for a while.

As always I would appreciate any information on techniques or content, arrangement, etc.. as far as classical music is concerned.

Loved It !
Sir Reinholt, a very wonderful work here, the sounds really clear and well arranged. Loved the piano and willing to hear the full classical piece !

Hi Yeman....
I'm glad that you enjoyed this first version.

I don't know when I'll revisit this piece but it's something I want to finish. Maybe over the Christmas break.

Take care.

Paul.

I guess it depends
on where this piece wants to go. I'm no expert on classical music first and foremost, so gauge all comments in that light. In older styles of classical music there were definite forms for the piece to take that usually involved the introduction to a theme, repetition of the theme by other instruments, variations, and then starting near the beginning again - and there are lots of ways that was done. This piece is more modern and can go where it wants to I expect. Still, if you were to introduce a catchy melodic line, however short, it would be possible to pass that around the orchestra in various forms, providing continuity and interesting development.

How do you get those great sounding swells?

This has a lot of promise. Thanks Paul,
Doug

Hi Doug......
Yes. The modern approach is my favourite at the moment. I fancy maybe a theme and or various, differing sections an them, at the end, an 'open resolution' to keep people hanging on......

Thanks for your thoughts.

Hi Kentaa....
You are correct in saying that the piece could go anywhere.

The limits I have set myself, to keep the sounds all of the same quality, is to just use the set of free loops that I have used already. They were off of a magazine DVD from about two months ago.

If I want to add my own playing and even notes, it will take a lot longer to arrange everything and mix it correctly.

The next version maybe completed over Christmas.

Take care.

Paul.

Interesting beginning -
It seemed like I was just going to settle into a nice warm melody when it stopped! The brass stabs are a bit harsh, in my estimation, and might be more subtle with either a more legato attack or the addition of winds that outline the chord build, and then hang over into the string theme.
Definitely a 'modern classical' piece. I'm looking forward to hearing that melody that was introduced by the piano.

Hi Kristyjo.....
I'm sorry for the snippit being so small. I want to complete the piece but it's taking some laying out.

Your suggestions are fine and I'll bear these in mind as I strive to add more to this short piece.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments.

Take care.
