Tangerine Dream (2)Mike Oldfield (1)BT (2)Kraftwerk (8)Jean Michel Jarre (1)Instrumental (413)Electro (91)Rock (1084)
Description:
I've put it in the electropop genre (still closest genre I could find) I would actually put it in an ' instrumental electro-rock' genre if one existed. I wanted to keep the piece lean and simple but this time I've added a couple more layers and revamped the middle section. Let me know what you think.

when's the movie? motion seems to come when ears are doing one thing and the background sneaks up on you. and there is no resolution in thought. you should do an animation to this.

cool changes &mdash 10/14/07 - 08:03:17 PM
some great shifts here. Sometimes a little on the outside setting up these great resolutions. I'll second Ed re: the Movie. Certainly conjures up imagery. Revamp succesful!

It's at times like this that the production rating voting knob really should go up to 11.

Go Interstellar Racers! Fight evil in your electro spacesuits with your electro-guitarsabers.

Hey! &mdash 10/15/07 - 07:15:35 PM
I wrote a really good comment the other night!

What happened to it?

Aw, tell me that I didn't hit that final post button...

I'll be back...

Okay, as much as I remember... &mdash 10/15/07 - 07:21:01 PM
This reminds me much of my son's favorite movie, Titan AE. It has much of that interstellar vibe...

The Mike Oldfield reference in the keywords got me thinking that this might sound paradoxically even more modern, interstellar and spacelike if it had something like an acoustic guitar in the blend...maybe arpeggiating some chords, maybe some alternate tuning stuff, maybe some bright rhythm...not much, but it might actually serve to accentuate the electric feel of all the rest of it... The hopefully forgivable reference I made was to how Tom Scholz might add in some acoustic to a Boston track, although I think something Oldfieldish or Michael Hedges-like might serve better....

Something like that, anyway.

Ed

And I fav'd it first, so you know I like everything else that's there...

Let's see if I can manage to do this right this time...

Cool stuff. I can hear the influences you posted. I actually heard Oldfield before I read Ed's comment. I'm surprised that you are the first to use Mike Oldfield as a keyword!

This has a real groove to it. I likey!

nicely put together, happy track here.
i think some attention could be spent on sound design as they sound a little too much like presets. also with drums, as the timbre doesn't really fit with the sounds.
