Lots of cool layers to this. Sounds more art-rock than ambient to me. Maybe its the heavy metal vox ;) That aside, this is tune that builds and has a lot of energy.

Thanks
Bill

Obbster... this song is aptly named... very dark and compelling. Driving synth sounds. Welcome back.

moody ambient art rock &mdash 10/15/07 - 10:58:59 AM
i love the dark tone u set in the intro- with the 4 note motif - sounds like the beginning of a 12-tone sequence- I was actually waiting to hear that theme developed further - and used as the basis for the construction of the entire piece. The bass line is pretty powerful - perhaps if you added another bass sound with more ambient effects- the effect would be more otherworldly? or adding some delay and reverb to the piano to contribute to that wet underwater atmosphere? excellent piece nonetheless - great mood piece.
