Wierdness and light. (1)
Description:
This is an uptempo mix, shorter than some of my others but different enough to be a second upload within the space of 15 minutes.

This (I think) has potential for a longer, more structured piece and that's why I've dared to name it with a '#1' at the end. We'll see what happens over the next day or two with my mixes.

This is placed in Experimental because I can't think of a better genre. If someone has any idea where it should really go, please let me know, even if it's just the garbage dump!

i was playing it while doing stuff at my desk...and i found it to be engrossing.....catchy....the melody lines and ambient synths hit some sort of harmonic nirvana....kkol

It has a real nice feel. And the mix is well done.
Like me I have alot of #1's. And then work it from there.
nice job

Thanks musichead...... &mdash 10/20/07 - 05:23:02 AM
I agree with you about the number ones, etc.. It allows for a second or more mix whilst still roughly being in sequence and similar in intent and style.

Take care.

Paul.

Thanks Mcboy....... &mdash 10/20/07 - 05:19:28 AM
This is one of the faster mixes out of the current series that I'm working on. I'm afraid though that I modified many settings on a softsynth preset and changed chords, general algorithm etc.. but then, after this recording I forgot to save the modifications and programming!! I will have to start again with a template to try and recreate the type of mix we have here, and work from there.

Normally I would be paranoid and save a set of parameters after only one tweak but this time it got away from me. Cest la Vie!!

Thanks for stopping by and listening and I'm glad I switched on your 'Nirvana button'. Now I wonder if I could market that??

Take care.

Paul.

Lots &mdash 10/22/07 - 03:58:12 PM
happening here! This feels like a crowded space compared to some of your other recent works - that's not a negative, just different. Very active - I get a sense of spinning in the midst of abstract forms.

Thanks, and keep well!
Doug

Hi Doug..... &mdash 10/23/07 - 12:33:09 AM
This mix was meant to be different. I wanted a piece that was completed with the same basic instrument setup but had a totally different feel and tempo. It seemed to work OK. I'm now trying to recreate the setup for a longer piece of music. I spoiled the habit of a lifetime and didn't record 5 separate mixes of varying length and mixture. I didn't like the mix originally so moved onto another idea.

Take care.

Paul.
