Description:
This came from a joke I used to make about the theme song to the Canadian Dream (to max out your debt load) based on the name of a popular song from a few years ago. This is my first song here I'm mostly happy with it although my singing is still not where I'd like it (working on it though.) I wrote the lyrics a few days ago, using a progression I wrote years ago. Originally did this with electric, but was fun using acoustic for it. Did all the guitar and bass parts, and used basic GB drum loops. Did the mix on my headphones, so that could probably use some suggestions (like everything else in this song ;-)Lyrics:
Golden city, in a setting sunDriving my SUV, always on the run Going home to my big house, day is almost done Fighting through all this traffic, gotta win the race Crank up my CD player, some jerk is in my face Don't care about all this s***, livin' la visa loca TV flickers, like a caveman's fire watchin all the re-runs, and the news told by liars get it all on the big screen, living through the wires gotta buy all the products, things I'll never need watch a b-grade movie based, on a book I'll never read Don't understand all this s***, livin' la visa loca Don't pay a cent, for two whole years Keep from losing faith, massage all you fears Another loan will make me happy, oil economic gear Gonna fly to a vacation, gonna buy a brand new car Work 60 hours for my freedom, spend it all in the bar Never pay for all this s***, livin' la visa loca Hardware:

intruments to back your (somewhat tentative) good
vocals. Let 'er rip a little more while singing. You are in
the right direction.
