Description:
Just another little soundtracky piece of mine.
Ok, maybe not so little - as I intended this to be a bit epic. At least the latter half of it.

I'm wondering if I "effed" up the ending, though. I was getting kind of impatient - been a while since my last upload - so I kinda bailed out on it. Please give me your honest opinion.

Enjoy!

your musicality has just grown.. Einar, you really have a gift for music.. you and a few other young guys here really inspire others to be their best just listening to your songs and learning from you...

This song is grand... nothing small or simple about it... it's a showcase of your great talent...

Something Sinister &mdash 10/26/07 - 01:49:59 PM
Impressive as always you got a good skill
with setting a good set of insteruments .
someting telling me this is eastern fusion
into whole Orch work even if it has this
drum beat and all ..you could add more ornamintation
to the strings pose in the middle .I like
the flawin of the melody ..its a great work my friend
welldone !!!

Wow! Great grooves! &mdash 10/26/07 - 01:51:27 PM
When the rhythm kicked in I was instantly swept up in it! This is terrific.

Eeiree but beautiful...like a full moon floating over a bank of dark clouds in an otherwise clear night sky.....I'm VERY impressed.

Ahhh...guitars just kicked in...wow again....

Nor can I find any fault with the ending...although, I would have kept up that ascending progression and gone into a long fade with soaring leads in the distance...but then, I'm stark raving mad.

Be well friend!

Up to your usual .. &mdash 10/26/07 - 01:55:24 PM

.. very high standard. I get some eastern feel
from most of the melodies even with the very cinematic pull and builds .. that's where I hear the distinctive
Einar touch..I keep seeing belly dancers .. that want
to do something sinister .. (?)... wishful thinking
on my part I expect.

The ending sounds fine to me .. and I wouldn't have
noticed any cop-out feel if you hadn't said.

I liked the synth guitar sound you used too ..
sounded pretty realistic to me.

I would have this playing in my 'Carnival knowledge'
tent for sure. :o)

It's great to hear a new tune from you, man. As usual, this is superlative. Your sense of dynamics is enviable, going from the gentle to dramatic to serene to rocking. It's hard to believe you do this all yourself! Great work.

so.....sythesizer guitars huh?? &mdash 10/26/07 - 09:11:35 PM
...I am deeply scarred

seriously, there is a great momentum to this for sure, and this is a perfect distillation of the einarus sound....

the ending is fine, it just needs some guitar flying over the top there.....

bravo and deepest bows

denouncing indolence &mdash 10/27/07 - 03:08:41 PM
"I kinda bailed out on it" -- Ha! I know what you mean. What do you mean by "eff" it up at the end? Add dramatic effects?

This sounds very good! Makes me want to sing evocative words denouncing indolence.

I like the sound. The guitar and strings work well together.
Just my opinion, but I would like to hear the very end step up to a more resolving chord.

Thanks
Bill

You never &mdash 10/28/07 - 09:54:17 AM
disappoint, Ein! You are one of relatively few here that I could click the favorite button before listening, and after listening would like to click it again! I am impressed that you can keep your style, it is easy to hear that this is one of YOUR songs, but that it never gets repetitive or boring. It's interesting all the way. Well done. (But OK, I can also hear that higher chord Peacepiano is talking about at the end...)

Take care,
/Henke

One of the things that sets you apart, &mdash 10/28/07 - 03:17:12 PM
...Einarus, is your mastery of simple elements. A lot of musicians confuse 'complex' or 'contrived' with 'better'.... You have simple, effective riffs and melodies, and simple, effective chord progressions and simple, effective rhythms, and the result is IMPACT. (I guess on the surface I'm disagreeing with Leon, but I suspect that we really mean the same thing... I'm saying that what's simple in it is strong, and that's what contributes to its big sound...)

Why do I expect another version someday with additional, live guitars? Why is THAT idea popping into my head?

Really enjoyable, and it really made my day...

Ed

loved this &mdash 10/28/07 - 09:28:02 PM
This is an awesome piece of music. You did a great job keeping my anticipation at a high throughout the song, and I continued waiting for what you would do next. I honestly hated for it to end. Thanks for sharing this. Great job!

Powerful stuff &mdash 10/29/07 - 02:09:49 PM
Really good orchestral and loved the drums. The guitars kick in really well and take the track to another level. Very cool track and very atmospheric. Well made and produced, don't worry about the end.

Dunno About Sinister &mdash 10/30/07 - 12:25:58 PM
...there's something powerful here that's evoking a very different feel than sinister. Something more heroic that's slowly becoming aware of evil looming, an impending confrontation of Armaggeddon proportion... but not unto evil itself. This is the stuff of courage, not darkness. This is the music of heroes stepping out of the shadows and drawing a line in the sand against the sinister forces.

But... wait, now that I'm listening again... damn, this really would make excellent music for a villian's secret plan to take over the world. Jeez, I don't know what I'm thinking anymore.

Why... it's time for you to die, Mr. Bond!

Wow &mdash 11/04/07 - 07:48:12 PM
my first impression was the clarity the great sound of the bass. The build is nice I like the feedback? that lingers in the background. The middle bridge is my favorite! Not many can achieve a bridge so skilfully! This song sings with no lyrics. I think it is more than just cinamatic. Its epic symphonic. Excellent!!!

Wow!!! &mdash 12/17/07 - 11:40:07 AM
Very moving. I'd expect you could make copies of the sheet music and get an orchestra to play this to a very thrilled audience.

The ending you mentioned--that last build-up does seem to want to go for a big blast ending, rather than the surprise pull-back. But maybe I only noticed because you mentioned it. I suppose you will return to this piece to decide on what you do with it. And anyway, it sounds great as is.
