(The Damascus Duet Session.... Jack was sneaked into Syria via the MacJams' underground railroad for a one night stand on Feter's front porch. After too many Expresso coffees they pulled out their instruments and Feter sang out from his heart.)

Feter, i do remember this song when you posted it long time ago just with Mr. Sanchez line and it was such a beautiful and calm piece..
And this is as a remix to it with some guitar parts .. all i can say, the best vocal here, one of the best playing and thanks for sharing such a gem. So glad to see Mr. Jack joined you here .. was he in Syria for real ?

his reply and I thought its remarkable :"Actually,it is a picture of a candle in a window not of a cell. In our country one puts a candle in the window of their house for someone who is gone until that person returns."

are awesome but seem alittle muffled I wish I could have understood them a little more sounds like the bass on them was a little too deep .....Frickin love the instrumental guys ...lovely song ! you should deffenetly clean this one up some cause there seems to be some fuzzy hiss in there too ....this is a n awesome song indeed . love the music, so lilting and heartfelt... very nice playing, great singing melody. It really did feel like I was sitting on the front porch at 10 PM, in the evening darkness sipping an espresso, listening to you two play and sing. Very cozy, with a touch of longing.

Feter, Your rich voice is very pleasant on this piece and I enjoyed it very much. Also, the composition is just so simple in its structure. You did not succumb to the temptation to "fancy it all up" and so the message comes through emotionally and musically as I think you meant it to. ... I wish you had posted the words. I found the recording a little muffled and it was difficult to understand every line. I totally admire anyone who can make a collaboration across many miles/continents work. You guys did a great job.

This is my first listen today and I have to say, Feter, I'm glad to see that you are writing from your heart. It's very theraputic, and it produces some of the best music that you can ever hear. Heart felt vocals for sure, great performance. Dadai, great job and I loved your playing.

.. packed with heartfelt emotion and longing- the title
is very appropriate.
I love the "don't leave me blind eyes.. alone" lines in particular... I thought you were singing "don't leave me blind and alone" at first...
One of your best singing and Mr.Sanchez recordings I've heard- has a kinda front-porch feel in playing, although the natural reverb/ambience? of the original recording location suggests otherwise... a more chilling winter, more in keeping with the lyrics/mood.
Sweet guitar additions from Jack too, just enough, not over-done and fine mix.
