Lyrics:
-KNIFE'S EDGE-by Sons of Hypnos
on knife's edge, shivering
lose yourself in the toxin
chrome death box delivery
till the whole world is empty
on knife's edge tonight
out on the steel where the blade gleams bright
chloroformed and euthanized
lay your pennies on his eyes
(you can try to run, you can try to hide)
in the clutch where madness burns
grinding gears the castles turn
velvet touch techniques learned
cruel devices nothings earned
on knife's edge tonight
out on the steel where the blade gleams bright
chloroformed and euthanized
lay your pennies on his eyes
(you can try to run, you can try to hide) X2
once dead and trapped inside, now awake and fully alive X4
(you can try to run, you can try to hide) X2
it's gonna getcha X14
it's gonna...
on knife's edge, shivering
lose yourself in the toxin
chrome death box delivery
till the whole world is empty
on knife's edge tonight
out on the steel where the blade gleams bright
chloroformed and euthanized
lay your pennies on his eyes
(you can try to run, you can try to hide) X4
on knife's edge tonight X4

...really nice blunt string/overdrive keeps the tune moving...the rise in the middle was perfect. I was hoping for it and: voila!! Thar she blows!!!
ageofthedeathtree
the original version of this song (we recorded on 4-track) felt like a long drone...we kinda changed that up on this one. the rise in the middle was definitely needed to overcome the "drone"...but overall this version really steps it up from the last one. glad you liked it, feel free to check out some of our other tunes when you get the chance!

There are no words to describe this song!! you landed here a perfect song! not a waste of instruments/notes any where!!!
Love the way the Guitar Bass paces the whole song, love it!
Keep it up!

i love that creaking sound and definitely hear more of that bauhaus influence in this dare i say done better than they did? love that guitar line and the haunting bass line nice build up at the start. i would almost like to hear some echo or something on the vocals to give it more of a haunting feel. definitely reminds me of ghosts. nice panning of the vocals half way thru.

whoa, really cool song. the guitars and the backing whisper vocals are my favorite parts. even though its pretty long, it never gets to long to just be long and boring. its awesome, all 6 minutes of it

I just checked out sonnyjims version of this fine tune.
Good groove
I am really diggin on the guitar parts in this version.
fine playing
great underlying dark guitar riff thru-out the song giving it that OLD 'Black Sabbath' sound to the bottom end.
