Description:
it is perhaps of Oriental origins. however, the pentatonic music becomes dysfunctional as it begins to fixate on two notes. it is almost humorous. it was considered a failed experiment. however, it is retrieved from the waste bin, as version 0x01 received unexpectedly pleasant reviews. it required great work to make it worthwhile. this is version 0x02. it is extended, parts rewritten, more variation added, and a new wood-block instrument has joined the melee. it is hoped the music creates a DysAurienting euphoria.
this piece, as all the ic42 music, is computer-generated, parameters changed, re-generated, manually re-written, mapped, sampled, and recorded. it is a labor of digital love. 0x0

It sounds like labor of digital love. I know you don't mean binary love;). I did feel like the swimming data model in the water. Searching for algorithms that feed the ear and the heart. It has tranquil quality and through the manual variations it kept my attention, instead of making me doze off gently. That is a nice quality as well. You should have a listen to a band called Isan! I think you will like all of their records. What I specifically enjoyed in this song is the Isan feel of it. It is a playful song, almost childish (that is a compliment!) and it conveyed a diverse oriental hope. With a bit of melancholy sprinkled on top.
Grand effort my dear friend!!

binary love was attempted long ago. it was entropic, and led to a reduced 1 and a growing 0. life is now enhanced through the drug "music".
it is gratifying to know of your pleasure from this piece. Isan shall be found. it creates excitement to wonder if other musicians exist that create music like this. thank you again. your support and desire are the stuff of life. 0x0 [ Reply to This ]
Very Nice &mdash 10/27/07 - 02:22:30 PM
Love the melodies of the flute and xylophone. The work was worth the result, its a lovely tune and is very pleasant on the ears. Keep those circuits running esp if you carry on making tracks like this. Great stuff [ Reply to This ]
more electricity, igor &mdash 10/27/07 - 03:49:54 PM
it is the time of year for halloween allusions, yes?
if the flute and woodblocks are soothing and harmonious, it is a worthwhile effort. thank you for expressing your thoughts. i reciprocated. a comment awaits on your music.
a new experiment is growing in a graduated cylinder. it is still nascent and frail. soon it shall be strong enough to be set free. possibly by halloween. i must find more electricity. 0x0 [ Reply to This ]
