	. there are two layers of reverb in that piano solo. you can hear it pretty clearly on headphones. the first layer is an AU Matrix Reverb of a "medium room" - meant to sound like a piano in the living room. the second layer (more obvious in the higher register) is a huge space - meant to evoke the idea of recalling a memory. thanks Check out my latest song called One For Me

	Very True .. SMOKEY .. this is my 2nd song i listened from your stuff and i'm impressed. This song CRY OUT, the music SPEAK, The vocal is very WARM, The story is very true and EFFECTIVE ... i needed to break up Bach's 6/8 time signature into 4/4 to create the transition from the past to the present. so i treated all the 6/8 rhythm as triplets in 4/4. during the early part of the "those days have morphed..." loop i shifted the timing of the bass line from 1/4 triplets into 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/4.

i made the looped words accent the rhythm of the 4/4 beat. i faded in the loop in advance of the bass change to try to smooth over the transition.

	. i must 'fess up - to you and PeacePiano - that i don't actually have a sister. but something about the interplay of the roles of sister/mother/daughter seemed to require a sister here. i used the voice loop (those days have morphed...) to drive the morph of 6/8 treated as triplets into the closing 4/4 time sig. thanks Check out my latest song called One For Me

	Yes, darlin' :-) And I never could get the hang of reading the music - so I just memorized the pieces, which worked for "When I Grow Too Old To Dream", but not for Pachabel's Canon in D. :-) My daughter is the pianist in our family - she's very good thanks to her father's talents in that area.
