Description
Just to let you all know, I've reposted Mr.Right Now, Average Schmo, To Be Lived, and "I Love My Mac - they've all had some work done on them. I followed some of your suggestions on improvements for the chorus to "Average Schmo". I've also reposted "Not my Fault", which now has the work of the talented Mr. ka_klick added to it. As always, feedback is welcomed! "Well-Worn Road" is a country tune I wrote last year, and thankfully, found a talented male vocalist to sing it. I hope you enjoy this one...

Country road feel...
Really like this, especially your vocal harmonies. You capture well that easy-going country/pop sound in this song. Sevens!

very pleasant
Nice composition, good voice. Who's the "talented male
vocalist"? Man of mystery....

very pleasant
thanks Cameron. The person who sang this is a local musician i.e. not a
macjammer, although it would be great if someone on macjams would like to
try it out.

Very well put together
I think the scores are way to low for this piece. The production quallity is excellent, and the song composition is excellent. It is very well put together!

Very well put together
thank you so much for your comments! they made my day. I'm so glad you
enjoyed my song. The low scores are probably that unibomber again. I've
learned to live with it. (well, not really actually)

Like Cat Stevens
Wonderful warm Cat Stevens like voice. Again, very solid
tune with warms sounding guitars to match. The
arrangements has a lot of stop feelings (to me) caused by
the parallel rhythms; I'd rather have the rhythm quitar play
through phrases (strumming or picking) instead of lined
up with the bass drum. Maybe the drums are just too loud
for me. And maybe on the bridge he can sing in a slightly
higher register to give it more expressiveness. The quality
of his voice and that initial groove are real highlights.

great song.
great song.
the first part of the song (0-22 seconds from it's start) is a real treat, giving the song it's own, easy to remember by, "trademark".
the song sounded much better after I've "got used to it", and I've become aware to all sorts of nice things I didn't paid attention to, during the first listening of the song.
the transient of low volume to higher volume at the "well-worn road" part at 0:29-0:30 from the start of the song, was a bit too "harsh" to me, I wander if it was better had it been a bit softer.
also the drums sounds were a bit hard to me, and maybe (i'm not sure about this) softer drum voices would be better.
the bottom line: great song.

great song.
thanks again for your comments on this song too solidwood. You might be
right about the drums - thanks for the comments. I do all the parts myself
(on the computer) and I'm not a drummer which might account for that
problem. I would love it if a live band would pick it up... and other songs of
mine for that matter. Cheers.

Just goes to show
what a great song writer and talented musician can do when matched up with a great vocalist.

This is a wonderful song that deserves to be out there commercially getting air play.

Great writing, great music, Pro mixing and a great vocal.
