Description:
This is a song I wrote. Everyone was a session musician. This isn't my band it's just some friends jamming in a studio. The bassist had only been playing for 2 weeks just like the drummer. I'm playing the guitar on this. My solo got kind of sloppy during the middle also.

Hope you like this!

Lyrics:
I can't find the Word file right now, but they are about a problem I had to deal in which I just wanted peace. In the first listen it sounds like a protest song, and I tried to make it like that so anyone could just listen and relate to the war aspect, but I could listen and remember those feelings I had.

Hardware:
Either a PRS CE-22 or a ESP F-250 for the guitar.

Thanks. I'm surprised you liked the guitar effects. I hated how it came out in the end.

2 weeks- &mdash 11/01/07 - 07:43:53 PM
That's not bad. The guitar chord sequence is pretty good, and you have some nice licks going, too. I suspect with some more practice together as a group, this would continue to improve on keeping that beat clean. The voice could be quite a bit farther forward. Right now, it doesn't carry the power a lead should have.
Keep up the good work. It sounds like you have some good sounds and ideas to share.

Well I'm not a singer so I can't really do much about that. I just was forced to sing. But, thank you for the comment!

live performance? &mdash 11/01/07 - 07:46:32 PM
for a live mix, it is just fine. i would love to hear you take this to the next level, by isolating each player, and multi tracking this one. it has alot of potential, but as in most live mixes, it is muddied up by your mic'ing, and room size. a good job all around.

Depends what you consider live &mdash 11/01/07 - 08:03:23 PM
There was only one track, but it wasn't live. Thanks for the comment!

I would multitrack, but this isn't my band. My band broke up. It's just me and a couple musician friends jamming at a studio for fun. So there would not be a point in putting all the work in for a multitrack.

Well, its sort of a fun session to listen to as a practice mix... but as noted by others, the recording needs a lot of work... you said you recorded this in a studio, but it doesn't sound at all like studio quality equipment (even the vocal mic sounds very muffled, like a cheap $10 mic :-) Good drumming and song structure for the style, but definitely need to work on the vocal melody and recording quality. Keep cranking out the music, its fun!
