death to false metal; you are truly a smokeyVW now, like the one Crispin Glover drove in Rivers Edge. I love how you just got right to it and put on your shred hat, you are a god.

there's nothing like a rainy Saturday to fool around with GB! thanks for inspiring me Michael2.

heavy metal kid &mdash 11/03/07 - 08:27:05 PM
I guess we need to blame Michael more often to get your rocks off.
Very heavy very cool. Just hope you didn't get a sore neck from thrashing your head around while making this.

Michael's passing comment just clicked: i hadn't tried a metal tune yet. it was fun, but a bit silly too.

thanks

But.... &mdash 11/03/07 - 10:29:11 PM
I was no where near those "plates" Oh wait... it was Michael2, whew!

Nice rocking tune! Midi guitars sound great, as do the drums. Very cool!

but the opening chords just sound so fake. a real guitar never makes exactly the same mix of harmonics every time. i guess with some work, there must be a way to fix that...

thanks

Wow, Bill &mdash 11/04/07 - 06:45:13 AM
I can't stand heavy metal but I love this. You made it sound melodious and preety. Ho, I don't know, except you're a genius at composing everything.

gosh, i'm getting a bit embarrassed. this little tune is just not very good. it's fun, but not serious.

i must admit, a metal song that is mostly just a wall of sound doesn't hold my interest for long any more. although i loved Black Sabbath years ago, and caught a concert or two.

all i did here was vary the parts fairly frequently, to avoid being too repetitious. that's something i do in general no matter style i'm mangling at the time!

thanks

Smokin' &mdash 11/04/07 - 06:56:37 AM
Not your typical track. But then you don't really have a "typical" Like to hear you stretch your talent :)

Thanks
Bill

I don't &mdash 11/04/07 - 08:55:02 AM
know how you got this to sound so real - but it does. Fantastic sounds.

on listening again, i'm just hearing the flaws right now. the opening guitar is so fake sounding! uggh.

but i am pleased with the drums. they're entirely from apple loops, but i spent some time trying to get the fills to make a little sense.

the short guitar lead is built out of apple loops as well. it was Bill & Ted's excellent adventure there.

thanks!

You've earned a plaque in the Valhall o' Fame. I can see the hair swingers - I can see the blood dripping from the rafters.

actually, it's a good thing i didn't touch a guitar to do this. otherwise the blood would have been dripping from my no-longer calloused fingers!

thank you Bud

Amazing what a little inspiration can do! This is a great song with an awesome beat that is alot of fun to get into! I really enjoyed it. My neck is a little sore though. Thanks for sharing. :)

glad you had fun listening. this is a perfect example of what i meant on my Music Background on my Profile page. all i did here is try to create the *impression* of a metal song. it's not a *real* metal song as far as i know. but fun nevertheless.

thanks for listening and commenting. :)
