Description:
From Retrolust's first album, "Bad Reception"

Lyrics:
01. Whisper To Me
I assemble all the fragments I have of you in my mind
I start to see you here beside me
I can see that I'm alone; I'm sitting all by myself
But I can feel you in my heart

To walk with you and touch your tears
To laugh with you and hold your fears
Would be a dream come true to me
But I'm awakened; I'm awaked by mortality
It keeps on telling me that this dream wasn't meant to be

I swear smell your scent lingering in every room
But my hallways are all empty
I cleared a space inside my closet to make some room for your things
But your possessions never show

Whisper to me how you love me
Look me in the eyes
Hold me closer while you kiss me
How I wish you were for real

I imagine holding your hands
Up against my face
Soft as silk, Sweet as roses
How I wish you were for real

Every photo frame is staring back at me with those eyes
But you're never in the picture
I remember all my late night conversations with you
The echoes of your voice were hollow

To walk with you and touch your tears
To laugh with you and hold your fears
Would be a dream come true to me
But I'm awakened; I'm awaked by mortality
It keeps on telling me that this dream wasn't meant to be

Lust for retro. &mdash 11/06/07 - 12:16:28 PM
Like your name suggests I too am a fan of all things retro, as far as I'm concerned anything that occurred over five minutes ago is retro and to this extent your posting is indeed fitting the criteria. Well done on the vocal nice effects.

"Wave" across town &mdash 11/06/07 - 12:28:25 PM
tasty "old" new wave sound... although I seem to hear a mild ringing low-midrange peak in one of the synths from time to time that is a little loud... that's a teeny nit pick... overall this is really tight pro-sounding. Great great singing that reminds me a little of Tears for Fears too (another great band), and your melodies, harmonies, and synth choices are just delicious. You guys are going to collect quite a following here. So, do you perform around town? Cool stuff, and welcome to Macjams!
ttfn,
Drakonis
