Description:
New in take 2: key changes (!!!:). I also added a little bridge to make it less repetative. Again - if somebody wants to stick a solo - you are welcome, buzz me for the bed.

Hardware:
Yamaha "CustomZ" tenor saxophone YTSZ82, RadioShack 33-3004 dynamic microphone with XLR-1/4" line level transformer, iMic USB noicemaker, iMac G4 800Mhz (1GB RAM).

changes you have added to this great piece. The bridge and key changes definitely add more movement to the song. And again your sensitive tenor sax playing is perfect for this mood piece. Your restraint (not over blowing), and the way you slide over the keys are dead on. Way to go!

You've done some really nice things with this, I'm glad you
went back and re developed this. I liked the original but
this is stronger now. Really like the break just before the
end.

I thought I was listening &mdash 09/12/04 - 09:01:19 AM
to Dave Brubeck's Take Five for a bit there. Great sax
playing! I was waiting for the bridge because it was
beginning to sound a bit repetitive, and then when I heard
it, it occurred to me that I would like to have heard that
bridge earlier, and probably at least twice, to create a
recurring theme. The bridge adds a lot of interest.

Thank you; I might remix it at some point, repeating the bridge, may be - for
now I feel like letting it sit there for a while, so I would forget what it sounds
like. Always helps :)

awesome playing &mdash 09/14/04 - 09:45:34 AM
There's just no substitute for good playing-- and this has
it. Great job. I love the tone quality of your playing. You
can really sag into a cool rif. Breathy when it needs to be,
strong when it needs to be. It does harken "Take 5" by
Dave Brubeck. I did a double take on the "Take 2" in the
name of the song. I thought it was a direct reference, but I
think that it wasn't-- just that you did an earlier version of
this. Anyway, I love this and I give it 10s for the sheer
playing ability. It's cool and creates a modern, avante
guard mood.

Thank you very much :)
Take 2 is indeed just a second take, there were no pun intended; may be
there will be a take 3 in a while, especially if somebody would want to take a
solo over the riff...

Smooth.. &mdash 09/19/04 - 11:49:08 AM
like velvet you sax, yet definitely strong in essence.
We love it.
We are anxious to here Take 3, if it can be made better.

Love the groove... &mdash 12/14/04 - 03:03:29 AM
Hate the key change. I really dig your playing, its smooth
breathy subtle essence, but I think that you could do so
much more with this tune than just change the key. I
think some completely off kilter, shift in rythmn would be
great with this tune. Take us somewhere different! But
overall, all things considered, I really love the groove and
your playing. Keep experimenting!

Great playing &mdash 08/06/07 - 10:31:02 PM
Was wondering if you could play on one of my tunes. It really needs a smooth tenor part.I can email it to you.
