LONG LASTING BLUES

Get Flash to see this player.

Description
When I find a new guitar tone (using Line6 Toneport with Gearbox) it naturally suggests a new song and when I dialed in the rhythm tone on my Strat I just had to lay down a blues feel. The lead came next with a thicker tone, also on Strat. The bass was entered on musical keyboard and the drums are modified GB loops. As usual the artwork has nothing to do with the music, just a pretty photo from a recent trip to Sedona. I hope you enjoy.

Really nice
blues playing. You have excellent phrasing-and you don't sound like all those people who copy SRV!You sound like you are really playing from the heart. What setting are you using on the Gear Box? It sounds great.

High Praise
from you, Ibstrat--I love your playing! It's called 60's Stones Mercy that I got off the Line 6 site. But I tweaked it. 1967 Class A-30 Top Boost Amp into 1967 2-12s Class A-30 Cab. with the Drive at 5 and the Cut at 7.

Fabulous. Just curious: Why did you disable downloading? I was hoping to use this for a blues podcast...

Not sure
I've never done it; however, in theory you should be able to click the EDIT button at the top of your song page and find the question "Would you like your submission to have Restricted Rights?" - answer it NO. This means that the song is eligible for podcasting without additional administration requests.

Otherwise, send me an email and request to be eligible. That works too.

Sounds like
Clean and shiney new strings. You can certainly play some blues sir. Not sure if it's my headphones, but I would have liked to hear a bit more bottom with the bass (play with the GB effects on it ?)

All and all, you got the feel.

Thanks,
damiegh! The bass is GB 'Fingerstyle E. Bass' with some GB Overdrive to give it some guts and EQ to boost higher freq. I must admit I don't mix with headphones because I rarely listen through them anymore, however the bass volume seems OK on my system. I don't like to overwhelm the mix with high bass unless it's a dance tune. Thanks for listening!
