nice sweet song. and yet rocks. What a great guitar tone. The added piano and bk vocals that come in at the half way point really take it up to another level.

The song is a bit repetitious so instead of layering guitar parts I decided to focus more on the vocals. I wanted this message to be delivered by me to the one I love. It seemed in a couple of places that the song needed something to grab attention. I frequently rely on a piano piece in such an occasion. I'm glad you liked it.

Marriage does rock! As far as the vocals. I was given a pointer from a close friend of mine who stated that he felt that on all my songs the instrumentation seemed to be fine and the only thing he felt that needed improvement on my mix was the level of the vocals. I tried a different strategy and over compressed the vocals to bring them up in the mix. The first version was quite ear piercing. This version the vocals were tuned down a bit. I'll try to level this better on the next run.

It is nice to hear from you again. Thank your fiancee for such kind words. I can say that marriage is a great journey to travel. I wouldn't have it any other way. I don't know how life would be without the ones I have shared it with these last 23 years. My wife is a loving strong willed woman and through the difficult times she's the one who holds strong. I lagged a bit on getting this posted. I'm sure my wife has already heard me in the other room vigorously laying down tracks. She once commented I was going to loose my hearing. I'm sure she could hear the melody repetitiously through my head phones. It may be in my best interest to look for some noise canceling head phones.

As far as the vocals. I appreciate the encouragement. I really feel that I'm the one who should sing love songs to my wife so opting for a collaboration just didn't seem right for the occasion. One time onesweetworld commented how well I emoted on one of my songs. That for some reason stuck in my head so since then I've been working on adding more character to my vocals. Any progress is good news in my book and hearing it from a fellow macjammer is just icing on the cake. Emoting on a love song to my wife has always seemed much easier to accomplish since that's the way I feel.
