Description
Heightened sent me a sample to use, which is a japanese string sample, and wondered if I could incorporate it in a hip hop track. Well that was the intention, but it turned into a more mellow, downtempo vibe. Thanks Heightened for the sample and hope everybody likes the track.

I might just do that. I will have to find someone to sing over it first. Thanks for listening and commenting. I will try and finish the track.

no shame in this track
What craft said, get a female vocal on it and you is pumpin man! I digged it, but for diversities sake it could just use a vocalist! Nice one!
Diviner said 719 days ago (November 20th, 2007)
Thank you JB
It seems to be a concensus that vocals seem to be the way forward, although the intension was to have no vocals as I never usually have any in my tracks. Cheers for popping by, listening, and commenting. Means alot.

Love
these sounds and the beat... very catchy for all the mellowness and a female vocal, even if it was one of those repeated few words type vocals, would make a big difference, regards M

for popping by and listening, I'm glad you like it. I will consider the female vocals. I will have to find some first and consider how to use them in the track, thanks for the hints of maybe how. :-)

The photo was taken by my wife, it was an artistic idea she had. The actual photo was taken in Padstow.
I'm glad you liked the track, its good to hear that. It does seem to be a running theme that it still needs vocals. Thanks for listening and commenting.

Well made
You've done a good job with the sample and thought I could see myself spitting on it, it does go well with the downtempo vibe. Nice flow all around with it man. You get it done.

Keith - a really good sound bed and interesting sounds/beats- I agree with the concensus (needs vocals).

Thank you
Len. Good to see you, and thanks also for the comment. Glad you liked the track, it was strange how it evolved. It was suppose to be in a hip hop track and it went downbeat. In someways I think the sound is better for it.

Coooooool!
Ok, you're laying down some competent beats, but it's really that weird string sample that makes this track.

Very tastefully done!

Victor.

Its a good sample and it goes on for a while, however the beauty of cut and paste is of course taking what you need. I'm glad you think it works. Thanks for coming round to listen and comment. Good to see you.

Good comment. Good to see you Joe. Thanks for the sample, glad to see that you liked it. Its a bit different to the one I sent a while ago, I've tweaked a few things including the bass.
I'm really pleased that you like what has come out of just an idea at the start with your sample. Thanks for listening and commenting. :-)

I like the snarly opening-
with that Japanese string sound. Isn't it interesting what you end up with when you just start creating? Yes, I'd agree, some soft, repeated vocals would be just the thing. I love the different layers of instruments you've chosen.

Thanks Kristyjo

Vocals
Vocals would make this different, but it would make it into something different than what it is now, not better, but different. It would be something good and I can hear how they would be cool, but I think this stands on its own really extremely well as an instrumental. I don't feel that strong need for a voice on it that other people seem to, though I can imagine what it would sound like.

This is very cool and would be great for getting relaxed before bed or doing meditation. I really love it and kept interested throughout.

Thank you
for your very balanced comment. I agree with you, I like it and when the other macjammers said it needs vocals to make it I was not sure. However it will certainly make a difference. Would you like to make a difference? You are very welcome to remix and add vocals if you wish.
Thanks for listening and commenting, I really appreciate you coming to visit.
